We passed through this city on our road trip and decided to stop by and see the Ancient City. Zibo the city itself didn’t seem to have much to offer for an overnight so we just visited this place. Entry was 60 per adult, half priced for kids above 1.4m and free for kids below 1.4m. The ticket price covered entry to all the museums but not activities/ experiences (like pony rides). The museums were interesting as they reflected the rich era of Zhoucun, a former central trading hub. It was once so prosperous, there were foreign businesses there such as Japanese silk stores and a Kent-Hilton tobacco store there! I had expected to see actual dye process taking place at the “dye factory” but there’s no more production at this place. There’s only museums. Tip: I would suggest you eat before coming. I ordered two different flavored beef noodle soup. Both came and taste the same hahaha. If you do need to eat, order handmade dumplings. Almost all the sit-down shops has them and they’re cheap but very delicious. A plate by itself is a mains.
