A group of 8 of us recently visited the Gin House and were warmly welcomed by Henry. He was great throughout the whole week looking after us and made sure our stay was enjoyed. He was attentive, efficient and pleasant. Henry is the best ever and earns our 5 stars.

Had the pleasure of attending Mass recently in this beautiful church and was very impressed by the wonderful choir! The priest was very welcoming to non-German speakers addressing us in very good English at the end of Mass!

We really enjoyed the spa - the external pools looking towards the Kaprun glacier, fun slide and a number of saunas - take your pick! We planned to stay three hours but ended up extending our stay cause there were so many things to enjoy and explore. To recommend - salt sauna, really relaxing and enjoyable. Make sure to either rent a towel or bring a large towel with you - it is compulsory to sit on your towel in sauna and not with bare skin. Cheers

As a non skier I’m always looking for different things to do. My mid week early afternoon visit here was lovely, again, I’d been here 5 years ago too. It was spotless then and I expected some wear and tear, but no, it was spotless again. It’s a public pool and sauna so it a bargain price compared with any of the hotel spas for just as good, if not better facilities. There’s really nice stainless steel pool, 20-25m long and a good for length swimming. There were only 2 of us in the pool so it was swimming bliss. Nice jets in the shallow end too to massage any aching joints and muscles. For 22 Euros you get access to the sauna area too which is again spotless. 2 of the usual Finnish saunas at different temperatures, a steam room, cold for spa, infra red room and the log cabin sauna outside with relaxing benches in the fresh air. Sounds odd to want to be outside in March, but you’ll need it after the log cabin sauna! There some sort of routine of towel wafting to hike up the temperature that goes on in there and it’s obviously not the done thing to exit midway through a session - just leave it to the locals, they know what they are doing, just sit back and enjoy. Yes it’s naked, which to us Brits still seems odd, but just go with it, the locals are all oblivious to it. The bus stop for the 680 is just outside, so easy access for the Saalbach valley of resorts too.
