Zaporozhye region and the island of Khortytsya is one of the richest in river waters. Grab a kayak, SUP Board or bike and go on an adventure. Our kayaks are wide and stable. You will feel comfortable to swim with children, grandparents, pets, also you can bring cameras and mobile phones.

New name is Sobornii Avenue - the longest avenue in Europe, 10.8 km. The walk from old town to the new town, the walk through the history. My advice to take walking tour. This is imazing historical avenue !

This hydroelectric dam was built in 1932. It survived partial destructiuon in WW II & still operates. The best view of the dam & station is from downstream from the Zaporozhian Sich Historical & Cultural Center. When you drive across the dam you get great views of the Dnieper River blow the dam.

It was very surprising to see a such an interesting museum with so many carefully prepared details inside. The museum has two floors. The first floor is about aviation and mostly about the aviation engines that has produced in Zaporizhzhya (today by the Ukranian Motor Sich company). At the second floor mostly motorcycles are exhibited (some more information about aviation and other things as well). I am very impressed by the style of the exhibition; simple, but very informative. From the level of details that I've seen in the museum, I can say that the people who designed the museum were absolute professionals. I personally enjoyed the time that I've spent in this museum and I would love to see this museum again one day. The museum is itself nearly faultless. One humble suggestion that I can make is; adding 1-2 small screens to the interior. With the help of the screens and simple videos/animations, it would be possible to give better visual information about the functioning of engines and even about the technologies/processes of the engine production.

We walked through this park in transit to a restaurant. There were many unique and interesting sites. I really enjoy walking when I visit different cities. It was in very late fall, so if I ever visit Melitopol again in the summer, I will walk around here again.

The Sich, located on the beautiful island of Hortytsa, is a living museum of Cossack culture and history, and is definitely worth a visit. There is a show of Cossack horsemanship and culture in the mornings and afternoons. You can buy food and beverages inside the Sich, which is only a short taxi ride from downtown Zaporizhia. There is a small admission charge.
