The manor itself and the surrounding flower garden are beautuful. But the lake behind them surrounded by weeping willow trees, in which you can see large specimens of carp fish is a real place of peace and tranquility.

This is the amazing place rising high alongside a mountain ridge with the same name, with a view full of diversity and beauty. It is best in the sun and covered with vineyard fields. You can enjoy the mountain paths, fresh air, local cuisine and excellent wines.

The castle is really a nice place. One of the most preserved and impressive ruins I’ve seen. Normally you can take a short walk from samobor up the hill (about 15 min) passing a nice spring (drinkable water) But, for people who have hard time Climbing it’s also possible to get there from the little church svete Anna. Take a car ride on svete Anna street. And park when you see the sign to the church. From there there is a short walk to the church (maybe the hardest part) and 15-20 min of very slow walk on very comfortable wide path to the castle. When you arrive to the castle there is some 10-15 meter of “harder” part. But if you have somebody with you helping it should be no problem to pass it. In the castle itself most of the place is easily accessible.

You will find this monument right in front of the entrance to the Samobor Museum. Ivica Sudnik is its founder, photografer and cultural worker. He shot numerous photos of Samobor and surroundings, and wrote a lot of articles, prose, historical insights about Samobor.
