Zadar (Croatian pronunciation: [zâdar] ( listen); see other names) is the oldest continuously inhabited Croatian city. It is situated on the Adriatic Sea, at the northwestern part of Ravni Kotari region. Zadar serves as the seat of Zadar County and the wider northern Dalmatian region. The city proper covers 25 km (9.7 sq mi) with a population of 75,082 in 2011, making it the fifth-largest city in the nation.

We spent 8 days in Zadar in late August 2020 and each day we went to this beach. The grey picture I've been seeing here on Tripadvisor really does not do it any justice. The water is crystal clear, there is plenty of shade under the trees (yes, in that case you need to get there before 10am) and you can also rent super cheap sun-chairs for 30kn/person for the entire day. There are nice bars around where you can get coffee in the morning, or some beer at the afternoon. There are also great fast-food places with a great sea view. We took the opportunity to indulge in some water activities like jet-ski and pedaline, for very reasonable prices. Mind, this is not really a party beach and it is family friendly.
