We were RVing in the area and decide to check out Young. The drive is on part dirt roads and part black top - very scenic - we were in one way and out a different way so had a great look around. In town we saw the glittering tape over the grape vines and decided to top in. Wine tasting was $12 for 5 tastes which included the glass to take home. There was cheese at meat and veggie plates available but we did not order one. We did however look at the menus for their dinners (they do most weekends and also special events like Harvest, Equinox). The tasting room was very nice - with a bar if you prefer and both indoor and outdoor seating. The tasting host was very knowledgeable - nothing was rushed and the wines tasted excellent. We also chatted with some of the locals who were there and got a good feel of the local flavor of Young, They have glamping tents set up at the back so when you go to the dinners and if you want to drink and explore the wines you can stay overnight. There were also llamas to look at and sheep and a farm table where you can buy local veggies which were also lovely. it was a great afternoon and nice to support a local business. We are thinking of going back for one of the dinner nights.
