Great place to run and play on a sunny day. Beautiful park, explore the ship, burn off energy, enjoy the waterfront.

Yokosuka Port Market

What more can I say. Excellent place to buy a wide variety of fresh seafood. It also has a nice selection of bakery items and fresh fruit and vegetables. Not necessarily a tourist destination, but if you live in the area it is a great place to grab some lunch or take home some fish for dinner.

Tokyowan Ferry

Reviewed By miscmail21455 - Red Bluff, United States

The Kurihama - Kanaya Ferry across the entrance to Tokyo Bay is a fun round-trip and a bargain for pedestrians. (Tokyo Wan-Ferry Kurihama Port). The boarding and dis-embarking process is easy and staff very helpful for non-Japanese-speaking tourists. Huge car-ferrying vessels go back and forth pretty much all of daylight. About a 45-minute one-way trip from Kurihama to the Chiba Prefecture. About 1,450 yen each adult round trip. Their web site has a good English translation. Fascinating to watch how the Ferry boat crew expertly dock the craft in tight quarters and get all the cars and passengers off and on the ship in timely, efficient fashion. Several very nice restaurants and attractions in Kanaya. We did not ferry a car across, so cannot speak to that experience but the pedestrian experience was so enjoyable, we did it twice in a week. Highly recommend it!
