If you are the first time to Yogya, this is recommended, surround by hotels, shops, batik shops, local foods, international foods, mc.donalds, starbucks etc to gudeg, soto, fried rice until hidden gems like delicious pork satay. Malioboro is the way to Kraton (Yogyakarta Palace) so this is important road and you may walk from train station to Kraton. Plenty of things to do at the market and good local food on the 2nd storey. Tried gado gado for Rp16,000. Comfort food.???? 1-2hrs to mill arond the entire market.
