The Fleet Air Arm Museum will thrill the whole family. Get up close and personal with Europe's largest collection of Naval aircraft and see the first British Concorde.You'll 'Fly' by helicopter to the replica flight deck of the Ark Royal where two enormous projection screens show aircraft taking off and landing. Witness an air sea rescue when a Buccaneer is lost over the side into the sea. You are sure to receive a warm welcome at The Kings Head, a traditional 17th century pub offering a selection of real ales and house made food. We have a "specials board" that changes regularly. We carry a wide variety of gin's - currently 65 in number! These are generally served in Spanish style balloon glasses with Fever Tree tonic water; of which we have six varieties. Dogs with well behaved owners are very welcome. There are two skittles alleys and a function room that can comfortably accommodate sixty persons. There is no charge for the use of these facilities. The beer garden is quite a sun trap and, being fully walled, provides a secure environment for children. There is a restaurant area that seats up to thirty persons with another twenty four covers in the bar area itself. Westlands Entertainment Venue is South Somerset’s newest entertainment and conference venue. South Somerset District Council refurbished the venue following a petition signed by local residents, and Westlands is now a bright and bustling venue offering a space for local residents, visitors and businesses to meet, take part in classes or attend functions and events. Being managed by the same team managing The Octagon Theatre, Westlands offers a complimentary programme of fantastic live events including a monthly comedy club, cinema screenings (featuring 36 comfortable sofas), party nights, festivals and more. The venue is open Monday - Saturday offering visitors free parking, free wifi and a great place to have lunch and meet friends. Westlands boasts a range of versatile function spaces that are perfect for meetings, conferences, parties and events – these spaces are available to hire. Regular classes also take place at the venue including ballroom dancing on our stunning dance floor.
