We were offered a "pet friendly tour"...this allowed my wife and I to take our Belgian Malinois with us. The tour guide Kim was amazing!!! She was a dog lover and took care of us and dog. Her knowledge of the park was solid. The tour itself was worth the price. We never would have been able to see all the sites on our own.

If you only have one day to visit Yellowstone, this 1-day, 200+ mile private tour of Yellowstone’s Lower Loop is the tour to take. After departing Jackson we’ll drive north through Grand Teton National Park while transiting to Yellowstone, making several stops along the way to take photos, admire wildlife, and take advantage of the Flagg Ranch restrooms. Using bathrooms with running water is simply how we roll. We’ll then enter Yellowstone through the South Entrance just a little before 9 AM. From there, we’ll continue driving north to West Thumb Geyser Basin then to the famous Lake Yellowstone Hotel for short coffee break. From the Hotel, we’ll continue traveling north to admire the Mud Volcano, Hayden Valley, and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, before taking a lunch break at Canyon Village. Continuing west from Canyon, we’ll explore Fountain Paint Pots, and Grand Prismatic Hot Spring. We’ll cap the day with a visit to the Old Faithful Inn and see Old Faithful gush in all her glory.

Discovery Channel experience with Obsidian Cliff Tours and Stacy Nolan! October 7th Husband and I did a one-day private tour of Yellowstone. Stacy contacted me a few weeks prior to tour to understand our goals for the day - wild life spotting, hiking, main tourist attractions, photography, etc. We wanted to see wildlife and fit in some of the tourist areas if time allowed. Stacy picked us up at our hotel in West Yellowstone (they can pick up from most areas near the Park) at 7:30 with awesome breakfast sandwiches and juice to eat on our drive out to Lamar Valley (I think it was about 1.5 hours). I’m not a breakfast sandwich person but these were really good, on fluffy English muffins. We also ate lunch in the van to save time. Several things that stand out about Obsidian Cliff Tours and Stacy: Covid awareness - van was clean and Stacy wore mask in the van (not the case with other tours we took). Additionally, Stacy reminded us to not touch railings and put masks on when we were in the midst of other tourists. Fortunately this didn’t occur often as Stacy took a route that was opposite to that followed by most park visitors, Stacy has a radio to listen to park rangers dealing with animals on the road and wandering near tourists. He also speaks to his guides and other guide companies to learn where recent wildlife have been hanging out. As well, he knows animals’ favorite hangouts from his many years of experience. As a result, we saw a lot of wildlife, including bison, elk, wolves, pronghorns and coyotes. The only animal we missed were bears. We were actually in a bison stampede! Stacy definitely fulfilled our request to see wildlife! I greatly appreciated Stacy stopping at the best bathrooms in the park (large, clean, regularly maintained, with running water)! I felt very safe with Stacy’s driving and safety precautions when we were in the woods. Stacy regularly took photos and videos of the highlights of the day and forwarded them to us. Great photos for our album. He even shared photos of bears that he had seen a few days earlier. Omg, so much knowledge about the animals, the geology, ecological efforts and the Park’s history. For example, we learned why many dead trees are white at the bottom of the trunk (the Bobby socks effect), why large bison herds are comprised of mostly females, how views on wildfires are changing, and so much more. I highly recommend you take the tour to find out the answers these questions and many more. Stacy is a great story teller about events that have taken place in the park and on his past tours. He kept us wanting more. The tour lasted nearly 12 hours and I realized the following day, when I looked at the map, that we had covered the entire Park, including the major tourist sites with the exception of Ol’ Faithful and the Prismatic spring. I specifically asked Stacy to skip these since we could easily view those on our own. We covered more ground than we ever would have on our own!

Spending the day on Yellowstone’s lower loop will give you an opportunity to experience the best of what Yellowstone has to offer. A long the way stop and see the famous Old Faithful Geyser as it erupts 150 feet into the air. Walk along the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and view the Lower Falls as water plunges 300 feet into the canyon. Visit the colorful hot springs and other thermal features at one of the many geyser basins including Fountain Paint Pots, Black Sand Geyser Basin, and Wet Thumb Geyser Basin. Watch for bison, elk, bears, wolves and numerous other animals in Hayden Valley and other wildlife hotspots. This is the recommended tour if you just have one day and want to see the best of Yellowstone.

Adam Brunaker provided an unforgettable experience in Yellowstone National Park for our family on our April vacation. We saw newborn bison known as red dogs, wolves, a bear and other animals we never would have without Adam’s situation awareness, expertise and trained eye. Adam provided a comprehensive view of the Park in a safe and comfortable environment. I highly recommend Tied to Nature.

We were absolutely thrilled with Tied To Nature and Adam Brubaker's tour. He is so knowledgeable and connected to what is going on at Yellowstone. When you take his tour, he is in contact with which animals are where, when the next time Old Faithful is going to go off, so we saw everything with hardly any down time. His enthusiasm and love for nature is palpable. We saw hundreds of bison, elk, the Great Gray Owl, and Bears! We got fantastic photos because he allowed us to put our cell phones onto his telescope. He explained so much about this majestic and magical park. We recommend this tour company highly! And do your tour at the beginning of your trip so that you get the most out of your whole trip. We were lucky we got in because of someone else canceling. We went during Covid-19 and felt very safe on a private tour with just our group.

We paid $700 for an all day tour of Yellowstone - expect a lot. We got a brand new guide (nice young man) just learning the ropes - could not answer many of our questions. He had memorized his presentation - had to ask other guides for information. There was no provision for lunch (usually included in an all day tour at this price point). The snacks were cheap bags of doritos & potato chips - as a diabetic I could not have any of them. No fruit and only water to drink Stay away from Globe Trekkers tours.

Yellowstone National Park is one of the few places where visitors can observe wolves in the wild in their natural habitat. Join us for this limited opportunity to view and learn about one of Yellowstone’s most famous apex predators, the Gray Wolf. Winter and spring months are historically the best seasons of year to view these wild predators in their natural habitat. During these Winter and Spring months, many of Yellowstone’s large mammals - bison, elk, mule deer and big horn sheep congregate in the lower elevations of Yellowstone’s northern range. Because these large mammals provide the primary food source of the gray wolves they are naturally attracted to these areas. The conditions are best for wolf observation. On this outing we will depart before sunrise and head into Yellowstone’s northern range & ultimately arrive in the wildlife rich Lamar Valley. Our guides utilize many resources to keep close tabs on wildlife activity. We look forward to sharing this experience with you.
Inclusions: Your Guide will provide hot drinks, snacks, & water throughout the day and a picnic style lunch on the trail, Coffee and/or Tea, Bottled water, Snacks
Exclusions: Gratuities
We signed up for their all-day wildlife tour in early September. I’ll give them one point for a prompt refund and a sympathy point for their guide being sick, but there’s no excuse for not calling us to tell us that they had no guide available for our confirmed reservation. It was nice that they were trying to find another guide before calling us but I couldn’t try myself because I didn’t know we didn’t have a guide. Telling us in a voicemail that they could tell us where to look for the wildlife we said we wanted to see was nice, but not returning my call back to give me the promised info was disappointing. If you’re like me and you don’t want to spend your once-in-a-lifetime Yellowstone trip watching the road instead of wildlife and scenery because you had to drive your own car, you might want to try a more tenured tour company with more reviews (I noticed that all their few reviews were in only the last few months). When we told our bed and breakfast hosts what happened, they pointed out that their meeting point address was the local Super 8 motel. I’m all for supporting a local small business, but it didn’t work out this time.

Our guide was Rachel, and she was very professional and kept the entire adventure well-informed and to our personal liking. Our picnic lunch was in a beautiful setting with all our dietary needs met. We were fortunate to see a caribou and grizzly cubs close up. It was a wonderful way to see the park. Thanks Rachel!
