I’ve visited this museum before and brought overseas visitors to the town and to have a look at the latest exhibit of “Dream Retirement”. We really enjoyed it and the permanent exhibit about the history of the area and William Barak and Dame Nellie is fantastic. It was more relevant as we’d just visited the Lilydale Lawn Cemetery and read about key figures from the area that are highlighted in the exhibition. We also visited the Lynley Dodd exhibition below which was beautiful. Thank you for this wonderful resource ????

A beautiful setting for a museum of art. It is set in the TarraWarra vineyard area, which is a working vineyard. There are also large outdoor art installations on the grounds. The exhibition we saw was The Art of Robert Klippel. It was well presented and thoughtful. There was a wide range of his pieces across many years of his life. Accompanying this was quality merchandise. You can combine a visit to the museum with wine tasting, a light meal or a more formal meal in the vineyard restaurant.
