North Carolina is starting to have some very acceptable wines. Raffaldini's defineitely has wines worth drinking. We drove out here from Winston-Salem (35 - 40 minutes) and were very pleasantly surprised with the grounds, the building, the views, the porches and decks, and the wine. The tasting was reasonably priced ($12 for 8 wines and a glass). We brought some out of town friends and all had a good time. Next time we will bring some food, buy a bottle and sit out on their patio or picnic benches and enjoy the view and atmosphere.

I'm a sweet wine drinker, so I only found 3 wines that I liked but I loved the atmosphere of this winery. There is a nice covered area and rocking chairs outside, couple small tables and chairs inside. There are corn hole games for the younger crowd. You could easily bring a picnic and enjoy the afternoon. LOVED seeing the Llama mamas and their babies! We didn't hike down to see the daddies. They also sell the wool from the llamas and a few items that have been by a local artist. Be sure to try their cheese plate as a snack with your wine!

Beautiful place. Views were stunning. When I entered I was impressed instantly. The young man behind the counter was very knowledgeable about the grapes, wine-making process as well as the product. The shop was inviting and there were many interesting products. There was even a local author doing a book signing.

If you are into collectibles, this is the place for you. Most of the booths had good prices on their items but there were some booths that were just priced too high for the items (we just laughed walking through those booths). If you are observant you would see the same item in the same condition in more than one booth. One booth would be $50 and the other booth would have it for $125. I would suggest not buying the first thing you see. There could be another one for a much lower price. We did walk out with a few things and if in the area again we would certainly stop.

Medaloni's atmosphere is great! I have been there several time and it is always comfortable, and relaxing. The tasting room is very large and open. They do not serve food but you can bring some in--or, even better--go when they have food trucks!Thank you for taking time to make a review we really appreciate it and hope that you come again in the near future . What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, very knowable and friendly staff. The wines were great. It was difficult to choose only one bottle to share by the fireplace. Beautiful view of Pilot Mountain. Loved the private and Very informative tour of their winery with their winemaker. Will be back with our friends.

We had a very friendly welcome from the owner to the large comfortable tasting room. Van was more than happy to tell us the whole history of his enterprise. When it was evident that we understood what he was talking about, he was happy to provide tastings off the published list including a staggeringly good reserve Chambourcin. The whites, all at very competitive prices, were uniformly good.
We will be back.

Interesting place, but thats about the only positive statement we have about this place.
The red wine we purchased was probably the worst we've ever drank.
Its a nice facility and the lady who greeted and helped us was extremely nice, however the balance of this experience was not a positive experience.
The area around the Main facility has not been maintained in years and looks nothing like the website photos. Its now basically a briar-patch.. without anywhere reasonable to sit & relax. Stacks of junk and rubbish can be seen under & around the restaurant from this area as well so its basically an eyesore. No way we would venture here in snake season due to this and the small unkept pond near the facility! Not good!
The vineyard land was lovely as was the entrance road... however that does not warrant a return visit from us.
