I've lived in the West most of my life, but had never been to northwest Wyoming. The scenery on the Chief Joseph highway is the most spectacular of our loop through Yellowstone and Cody.

This is a must see when in southeastern Wyoming. The views of the peaks, lakes and the surrounding area is breathatking and beautiful. There are walking trails and you can camp nearby. Lots of places to pull over to stop and enjoy the view along the wcenic byway. Skiing in the winter. You'll find snow in July too!

Best iconic view of the Tetons. The boat shuttle at the southern end of the lake is crazy crowded. Instead go to the NE corner of the one way Jenny Lake road. Less crowded and definitely worth waiting a few minutes for a parking spot.

Easy stop along the drive around the park. This is a classic view with the river and the Tetons in the distance. There are some placards with information and some wildlife to see.

During our North Rim drive of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, we made a quick stop at Lookout Point after stopping at the Lower Brink of the Falls. We came on Friday, 9/4 at around 8:30 am. The air was cool and it was nice and quiet with very few people. This is a very easy 15 minute stop where you can get a great view of the waterfalls.

We stopped here after visiting Jackson Lake. It is a beautiful place. We saw a large herd of elk grazing in the fields. We watched them through our binoculars for awhile. We probably stayed for 15 minutes.
