Rhonda’s husband Phil is a direct descendant of Bernard Neiber. Mr. Neiber homesteaded the land and built the stage stop, hence the current moniker The Gallery at Neiber. You're driving along rolling hills and ranches taking in their own beauty, you see cattle, antelope, deer, and possibly some other wildlife when BAM!!! you come upon the badlands that seems out of place based on its surroundings. You pull into the gravel parking lot and get out of your vehicle and are amazed what you're seeing. There is a fence that runs along the edge, but there's a gate that allows you to venture further into what seems like you're on the Moon or some other planet. The 1.5 mile interpretive trail lets you see the badlands in all its beauty. The colors change by season, just like leaves in the Fall. Wear comfortable shoes, no open toe unless you want to constantly dig rock pebbles out. Be weary of snakes, especially rattlers. Bull snakes are our friend, leave them alone, they hunt rattlers. But they will also bite humans, so keep your distance just like any of the wildlife we have in Wyoming. There's no cost to venture out on the trail, also parking is free. There are no crowds to deal with either, just earth in its natural setting. No dumping of anything please.
Whatever your background, Wyoming Mountain Guides will customize a climbing trip that suits your sense of adventure. We guide a wide variety of terrain - the Sherman granite of Vedauwoo, the limestone canyons and desert ice falls of the Bighorn Basin, the glacial cirques of Cloud Peak Wilderness - letting you choose from some of the best rock, ice, and alpine climbing in the west.
