I am a great fan of this place, although I only get to eat there a couple of times a year. Was there for lunch on a very wet day, the middle of the second week in Feb and it was full. Work it out for yourself. There is no where within 30 miles I would rather eat at. I called to make a booking for 4 and was informed that since last time the prices had gone up... it is now £7. !!! for lunch. I have included a pic of the lunch menu. I got to eat some of my partners pie too, it was too much for her. As usual the decor and table settings gave a pleasant place to eat and chat. Good service, good beer and excellent food. There is a certain Country House Hotel i know that could take lessons.
