Wokingham Theatre is a thriving amateur repertory group presenting 8 major productions a year alongside Youth Theatre productions, short runs of less well known plays, evenings of new writing, and a wide range of theatrical skills training. We also make our auditorium available to others for work as varied as hair-dressing training and Brass Band performance. The group was founded in 1947, is a registered charity and our purpose has always been to promote the enjoyment of theatre in Wokingham. The theatre is staffed entirely by volunteers who give their time and skills to support all aspects of our operation. The theatre is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from the membership by democratic vote each year.

I was brought up in Wokingham, aged nearly 5 to just gone 16. I enjoyed the play area then not fenced and enjoyed by all ages, the catkins, the bluebells, the woods…what’s not to like? There weren’t interfering, managing adults, and we wouldn’t have gone there so much had there been. I remember my brother taking me there sledding during the really cold winter of 1947 just after we moved to Wokingham.

Working Brewery with on-site Shop for Sale & Collection of Beer & Merchandise. Additionally, Brewery Tours & Brewery Experiences Days are catered for, please contact the brewery for more details.
Ordered two pins at Christmas 2019 and both were excellent neers. The Wild Tiger went down a storm with my guests and the Best of British is a personal favourite. Hoping the summer beer festival does not clash with anything so I can bring some friends along to sample.

Put simply, Dinton Pastures is a perfect area for walking, dog walking, paddling in the stream, boating on the lake and playing on the enormous play area. You could easily spend a whole day here and not get bored. We visited late summer and took 2 energetic 7 and 5 year old boys with their bikes for a walk around the huge lake - it took us almost 2 hours but we stopped for at least 30 minutes to paddle in the stream so it's definitely worth taking a towel and spare clothes. We finished our day at the enormous play area which is without doubt the biggest I have ever visited. The only down side is that because the play area is so huge you can't stay in 1 place to keep an eye on the kids - you need to keep moving to keep them in view. Only a minor point because there is so much for them to do there. There seems to be plenty of parking which is very reasonably priced and a pub across the road so all in all, a great day out for everyone of any age with or without kids and dogs.
