This is one of those strange locations that is a required visit as I believe everyone on occasion needs to be reminded of the enormous sacrifice others made for our today. Beautifully appointed and architecturally astute, a walk around these gardens and graves will sadden and illuminate simultaneously. Saddest of all perhaps are the graves of so many, so young, who died after hostilities ended in both world wars and to see names of, (again), so many young people who traveled half a world to lose their lives and end up here. Honour them with your presence just once.

We live nearby but never tire of walks around the cemetery. If you haven't visited then make a point of going. There's history, quirky stuff and a lovely glade at the back of the site. Woking are making it more tourist friendly, let's hope that is done sensitively.

Booked for a Saturday morning and glad I did as it got busy by mid morning. Everyone enjoyed the golf and thought the venue was much better than expected.

After working from home, in the morning, I required food from a supermarket in nearby Cobham (to concoct a superb Prawn, Broad Bean, Brussel Sprout and Paneer Phall Curry), so I thought I would take my daily hour exercise here. Last time I was here, was unquestionably 1992, as myself and school mates used to drink, occasionally, at the Anchor Pub - albeit, it now felt like 1892. As you come off the A3 to get to the Lock, you bypass the famous Wisley Gardens, followed by the very quaint Wisley Village, per se, before arrival. The only negative? There is a Sewage Treatment works which does, sadly, put a slight downer on things. The Lock area itself, is picturesque - a beautiful Weeping Willow tree hangs, majestically, on one side. Ducks, Grebes and Mallards can be found swimming around, in large numbers, near the Lock, and there are also a large number of Canal boats, in one singular phalanx on the opposite side to the main path. The area is peaceful and tranquil - a golf course lies on one side; on the other some woods and fields. Overall a very pleasant area to visit.

Ideal spot for some free range dog walking and relaxation. Yes you can hear the traffic from the roads but you can ignore that and concentrate on the beautiful nature and lovely trails. Cafe an added bonus. Highly recommended for dog walkers for stress free off lead time. Very enjoyable Sunday morning x

We had an excellent visit to this amazing building and workplace. We were met by an efficient and very friendly receptionist. Then taken on a tour by someone who clearly loves what she does and it was a real eye opener. This place is really worth a visit, to see what it offers and does is fantastic. Thank you to everyone involved. ????

The base and walls are still here but the rest is in ruins of this 12th century priory near to the river Wey. About a 5 minute drive from the A3.
