Artifacts Gallery

Artifacts Gallery represents the country's leading artists, both in sculpture and paintings. We have a unique blend of art, sculptures, gifts, jewelry, glass, and garden decor. We also have a custom frame shop for all of your framing needs. Established in 1993, Artifacts Gallery is a large, fine art gallery owned by Thad Markham, in business at this same address for over twenty years. We are located in the historic coastal community of Cambria, California, midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco. This small village (population 6,500) on the unspoiled Central Coast is nestled in the Monterey Pine forest along spectacular Highway 1. We're serious about art, but that doesn't mean art is always a serious business! Our gallery is a welcoming space with art consultants who treat everyone like a new friend. Our well-informed, friendly staff has one mission: to help you find the art you love that will make your home a beautiful expression of your personality.

Amphora Gallery

We stopped in to just look around, but then noticed the jewelry and stayed much longer than anticipated. The silver chains is what really interested us and the owner was super accommodating. We ended up going back the next day to buy more. There is much more than jewelry to this gallery; I recommend stopping in.

This is a restoed vintage home in the Heritage Square park area of Arroyo Grande It is complimented with a historic research library next door, the Barn Museum with local agricultural exhibits and a historic school house. Very well presentation in each and there is no cost, although donations were appreciated. The Heritage Square area is across the swinging pedestrian bridge from the village of Arroyo Grande. Cambria Historical Museum

Reviewed By jonr105 - San Luis Obispo, United States

For years we saw this 19th century home sit unoccupied and in continual decay, to the point that someone had to cover it with blue tarps to try to slow down the weather damage. Finally, a multiyear restoration project was undertaken and the restored home has now become a very pleasant historical museum. The docents here are very friendly and informative. Just ask a question or two and enjoy their answers. Several historical displays are available, each of which is quite interesting, including the history of the home, itself. The large front room in the home is the centerpiece, including a working antique RCA gramophone record player, which you should listen to, and antique stereoscopes, which you should look through. Both of these items delight children. There is no charge for admission, but a $2.00 donation is requested.

The Vault Gallery

Reviewed By jonr105 - San Luis Obispo, United States

We’ve been stopping by this gallery on every trip we make to Cambria for years, because it always has a wonderful selection of unique artwork by top notch artists. It’s the best gallery in town. The offerings are often fairly expensive but the quality of art matches the prices. Even if you don’t buy anything, or aren’t looking to buy, it’s still worth the visit.

Riccardo Spizzamiglio Artist Studio Gallery

Reviewed By whoistjd

Where do I begin? Knowing what I know I'm surprised he doesn't charge admission for entry and a walking tour of his masterpieces. The passion behind Riccardo's art and the intricacies of his moving sculptures are like nothing I've ever seen. The motivations behind each piece are sincere and I was privileged to have Riccardo walk my friends and I through the gallery. Enter with an open mind and a great attitude and you will be blown away. This is a special place and should be a landmark when visiting Cambria, and if you can't take home a massive sculpture, ask about his prints! Also, I was mostly compelled to create an account to write the review after seeing the negative reviews. If you had a bad experience here then it's merely just a reflection of the attitude you walked in with. This place is an amazing experience, if you allow it.
