Attended a concert here with friends. I was in awe of what has been accomplished with renovations and use of this historical site. The number of volunteers was surprising and their knowledge and assistance were superb. The acoustics were great and the concert experience was fantastic. I highly recommend going to the Arts Center for any production.

We hikes the north side of the trail two times, once in the evening and once the next morning. This is a really nice trail, all paved and nearly level. The weather was beautiful when we were there as was the river. This will be a new destination for us when we travel to this part of the state.

We found out about this cemetery only because our friends' brother cleared the brush and weeds from it as part of his Eagle Scout project. As the historical marker says, the land belonged to Daniel Hughes, who helped fugitive slaves escape along the Underground Railroad. The occupants of nine graves have been identified as African-American civil war veterans, but others may belong to former slaves. I rate this cemetery 5 stars not because if its appearance. It really looks like an old cemetery, but that is the point; a place this significant deserves better.

Original Little League Field

Visiting the original little league field and museum was an unexpected surprise and a true history lesson. We were at the LLBWS in August wanted to visit the original field. We took the short drive and we were greeted by the curator and present was a member of one of the original teams. He was there telling stories. It was great. As a former LL president, LL coach, LL umpire, LL player and parent of a LL player I was so enthralled by the stories and the displays in the museum. It was so cool and so glad I stopped.
