Its location just 60 miles from the southern rim of the Grand Canyon makes Williams a popular stop for visitors to the natural beauty of Arizona. The historic Grand Canyon Railway makes it southern stop here, ferrying hundreds of thousands of tourists every year to and from the Canyon on its hundred-year-old steam-powered line. In the more immediate surrounds, the Kaibab National Forest and the Bill Williams Mountain area provide ample opportunities for camping, hiking and adventure.

Great trip. Opted for luxury car. Domed great view. Very nice way to spend a day. Skip the buffet lunch not very good. Lots of choices at other restaurants.

Bearizona is a Wildlife Park featuring a drive through area as well as a walk through area. View animals in natural habitats during your drive. Check out more animals on exhibit in the walk through. There are several animal shows throughout the day as well as a complimentary bus tour through the park at several times throughout the day.

It was surprisingly well worth it!
There's a a small zoo to well and explore. And a petting zoo section for the kids.
They best part tho, is the driver thru. It's so awesome. Wolves, black bears, white bison, brown bison... They're easily visible and some will walk up right to your car.
Kids love it. Us adults too.
If you like animals, it's well worth it.
...I was driving, so no pictures of the wolves and bears. :(

The Depot is a great place for souvenirs and information about getting to the Grand Canyon. You can buy tickets for the train and for tours around the Canyon, this is also where you pick up tickets for online purchases. I found their Native American jewelry prices to be excellent, far better than at the Canyon.

Located on a section of old Route 66, the Deer Farm is 10 acres of absolute animal wonderland. Walk a path around our park to view wallabies, llamas, mini cattle, bison, peacocks, & much more. Walk with deer, feed the deer right from your hands. Chat with a parrot, Mozart is a very entertaining cockatoo, Scarlet (a lilac crowned Amazon Parrot) a bit more shy, pet a goat, kiss a camel. You will have a blast here if you are an animal lover.

They have added more animals since the last time we were here which was great for the kids. Mozart (the bird) is hilarious. The kids loved having him mimic their sayings and watching him dance around. The deer are plentiful and weren't too pushy when getting fed. It was fun watching the kids feed the camel a carrot sliver from between your teeth/lips. She is so gentle. The goats don't mind the petting and pawing and picture taking which makes it more fun for the kids( my kids not goats lol) Overall a nice way to pass an hour or two.

Most planes in the collection are war planes, many from WW2 or even earlier. A Martin and a Convair are the two civil aircraft catching the eye when you drive past to or from Grand Canyon.
The attendant was very welcoming and very enthusiastic, and he invited us to visit the interior of the Martin VIP airliner.

This is a nice display of old automotive memorabilia and garage items which was very interesting. Very small but there is a lot crammed in, like most mechanics workshops!
However the man at the desk was extremely rude when my mother took a picture of a bag in the doorway. Yes there were signs saying not to take pictures in the second room, but this wasn't in there and there was no need for him to be so rude. Well he did himself out of a donation and I certainly wouldn't be back

Really enjoyed our stop here. Gorgeous setting and building. Tried several of the beers and had a couple of the wings specials, which were some of the best wings we have tasted. Friendly servers, and one of the owners stopped by and said hello. Highly recommend.

If this place was in Boston, I could easily see how it would quickly become like Cheers...you know, a place where everybody knows your name. So, during a family reunion trip through Arizona taking my son-in-law and daughter on a visit to the Grand Canyon, we checked into Williams in the afternoon and need a good stiff drink. We found that and more at this little place. The beers they offered were fantastic. I fell in love with Alternate Facts. The boys tried a variety of beers while the ladies tasted various wines. We did eat the pizza there which was brought in from the place next door. All in all, a great place to hang your hat for a few hours each afternoon.

This is the best place to eat in Williams. There is live music and the food is excellent. People are extremely friendly and the prices are not touristic. My husband and I had the T-Bones and went back for the same plate the next night! Really an amazing experience for all senses, anywhere.
