Absolutely put this on your plan if you choose to visit Leitrim. Anne was our guide and she and all her colleagues we met were welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. We had a lovely tour, then a couple of drinks in the honey badger bar onsite. You get the 1st free with admission to the tour. You can see the €3M spent and the quality in how they put the experience together and the staff they hired are genuinely a pleasure to meet. Drumshambo itself is a picturesque small town and a lovely bike ride down the blueway from Leitrim village, another must see gem. So whether you’re hopping over from Carrick-on-Shannon or coming from one of these connected villages, take the tour in the Shed Distillery and enjoy a gin, a whisky or a vodka!

Blend your own Irish Whiskey, draw whiskey straight from our authentic oak cask, learn how Irish whiskey pairs perfectly with farmhouse cheese or artisan chocolate. We will take you on a journey through the wonderful world of Ireland’s native spirit – from its alluring history, production methods and renaissance. 10 Masterclasses Daily!
Really enjoyed the whiskey and chocolate pairing class. Staff were friendly and willing to answer any questions. The whiskeys included were a nice spectrum, pairing them with locally made chocolates was a nice touch. Reasonable priced for what is offered in the class. The only thing I could say that could be improved is the area where it is done is not as private. But I will definitely recommend it to friends visiting Killarney and will be back myself to try even more whiskeys

Spend an hour on an entertaining, fun experience learning all about Mead, the drink of Celtic Ireland’s Kings & Chieftains. Ideally located in the historic and food-loving haven of Kinsale on the Wild Atlantic Way, Kinsale Mead is Ireland’s first meadery in almost 200 years. Using a blend of ancient recipes and modern techniques, Kate and Denis Dempsey have resurrected a love of Mead through their sustainably made, award-winning meads created at their family run meadery. Highlights of a tour at Kinsale Mead Co. include: • Insights into Kinsale Meads: light and refreshing, fermented off dry (12% ABV wine strength) • Myths & Legends: hear stories of ancient legends and the colourful history of mead in Ireland • Bee Judgments: how Ireland’s Bee Laws protected the bees, taste three unique raw honeys • Process: modern mead making from fermentation, throthrough to maturation and bottling • Tasting: sample award-winning meads and cocktails in the Meadery’s oak bar tasting room
We were looking for something to do in Kinsale on our free afternoon and the Tourist Office recommend the Mead Co tour. We really enjoyed the tour and Kate was so informative! We had the chance to try different types of Honey and Mead (all were delicious). If in Kinsale, I would ???? recommend taking the time to visit the Mead Co. In the current environment, everything was really well done in terms of social distancing, hand sanitizers etc..

We did this tour with a group of friends, including some kids. The older kids enjoyed it too because it was very interactive. The smelling area for all of the gin ingredients made for a very enhanced tasting. I'm not a gin fan, but this gin is something special. Delicious, and you can really taste all of the different flowers and herbs and spices (some of which is picked right around the grounds of the distillery for an added local bonus). This is a very inspiring story - they had a dream and here it is in reality. Eoin is a great tour guide and has so much knowledge and humour. The tour was excellent and I can't recommend it enough!

Located in the coastal town of Clonakilty, on the Wild Atlantic Way, Clonakilty Distillery is a maritime distillery, owned and run by the Scully family. The Scullys have farmed this coastal land for eight generations, growing barley on the family land at the base of Galley Head Lighthouse. This unspoilt marine environment provides a complexity to the soil that permeates through to each individual grain. Using Water drawn deep from within the untouched rock formations of the ocean cliffs, coupled with the fresh Atlantic sea air, the Scully family have created a range of whiskeys that honour their unique provenance. Discover the people and place behind these award-winning products through a tour of this world class facility.
Went to the Gin School this was our second visit and it was excellent. Its a great evening and you end up with a bottle of gin at the end that you can actually day you distelled yourself. Staff are great and very informative and helpful. Followed with dinner in the Whails Tail onsite restaurant which was excellent and a good cocktail menu. A great night out from end to end.

Michael and Seán welcomed us girls from a 2m masked distance with open arms. The lads were insightful, enthusiastic and spoke passionately about the brand. We were informed that we were the last group of the year but this certainly will not be our last visit! PHENOMENAL value for money!
