Dal Zotto WinesThe Dal Zotto philosophy begins with what is closest to our hearts – family. From rural life in Italy, to settling in the King Valley, to help pioneer Italian grape varieties. Making Australian wine industry history in 2004 when they released Australia's first Prosecco. Along the way, from the good times at the table to our appetite for discovery in the vineyard and winery, it is ‘la famiglia’ that has brought it all together. We invite you to join us on this journey, pull up a chair at the family table, savour both the tradition and innovation in our wines and share our stories. Cellar DoorA visit to the King Valley is a must for any wine lover looking for inspiration and at our cellar door; we love to welcome and share our wines. Chances are you will meet one of the family and given our nature, you will leave not only with a taste for the King Valley, but also a clear understanding what makes this part of the world so special. We look forward to seeing you soon…TrattoriaFeaturing a menu of, naturally, Italian-inspired seasonal and regional produce, it’s a great place to stop when you’re in King Valley country. From simple antipasto combinations to delicious gnocchi dishes and handmade pasta., family matriarch ‘Nonna Elena’ works overtime in the property’s garden to produce the freshest ingredients for the kitchen. All Dal Zotto wines are available to purchase by the glass at the new trattoria (which is only open on weekends). Members of our La Famiglia Wine Club can use their discount on food at the trattoria as well as on the wine.
Sophie, in the tasting room, added value to the experience. She is only relatively new to the wine business but she was able to provide great information guide our tasting and provide laughs along the way. That's what it is all about as some cellar doors become too clinical. The wines backed her up all the way and the cloudy proceco is now a new favourite. We left with wine and will purchase more, but are looking forward to a return to the winery for more laughs and good wine. They also make excellent pizzas, so we are keen to try more food.
