Being back home in sunny Whitehaven and wanting a Sunday lunch everyone advised there was one place to go "here" Usually serving a carvery buffet its the place to go, how ever due to restrictions of the old covid it was table service only. Now a buffet!! Who doesn't go wild and top their plate right up like their trying to be some tetris legend??? So when the staff are dishing up the portions its expected they won't be as excitable as if you were doing it yourself.... WRONG There's some serious ninja style tetris shenanigans going on here! The plate arrived piled with 4 meats, mash, peas, brocoli, cauliflower cheese, roasts, carrot and swede mash(i think, but was yummy) lots more and all topped with a Yorkshire pudding that wouldn't of looked out of place in the elephant mans photo album (it was that big and crispy and just yum) I was a big boy that day and ate up all my dinner and maybe had to even losen my belt and I struggled, so much so I couldn't eve think about looking at the desert menu which is almost against my religion. Amazing home cooked food and a must for anyone wanting a good feed and a good roast dinner. Top food and lovely staff (think her name was Wendy, and her fantastic waitress pad) will definitely be back for round 2 with a dessert
