A grand array of historical artifacts and gorgeous views from the top if you climb the stairs. Definitely worth the trip and the visit. We spent an hour there and enjoyed every minute.

From Whitehall follow the scenic White Lake Pathway to its end at White Lake Road, where crossing it turns into this trail. This 11 mile trail was recently extended and now takes you to North Muskegon. It is mostly shaded, especially early and late in the day, and very quiet. The surface is paved and extremely smooth. It is only lightly used and child friendly as it crosses only 3 busy roads. About half way it passes Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Water Park Where you can watch and listen to the "Shivering Timbers" roller coaster up close during afternoons and evenings in the summer. Take water as there is no access to it after you pass the White Lake Public Library, my favorite pit stop along the path near the 2 short boardwalk sections. The trail connects seamlessly to other bike trails, so one can now ride from downtown Muskegon to Hart, Michigan on paved trails off public roadways.
