Although I only had a fleeting visit of the garden, it was the highlight of my two week trip to Jamaica. Absolutely serenity. The water itself is a blue/green, surrounded by lush folliage and hills. The journey up past Shrewbury Falls and Roaring River was breath taking, you pass small traditional communities before reaching a very quiet, secluded and beautifully maintained garden. The garden itself is very small, but the lack of tourists and silence is amazing. There are some medium sized fish in the water which will come up to feed. Further down the road, you can also enter the river- the current is strong and the water is cold so be aware- water shoes are advised. Absolutely worth the journey, an unforgettable experience. I will stay in the accommodation on my next trip. The photos do not do it justice in any way. Caution may be needed during rainy season as the roads were pot holed and poorly managed.

Pirates once haunted this seven-mile stretch of golden sand beach, now ruled by pleasure-seeking beach bums and sun-worshipers.
We had a delicious lunch, relax under the shadded Palma tree n enjoyed the beautiful beach n water sports located along the beaches. If you are going to Jamaica you must take a trip to Negri.

The walls of this underwater cavern are covered with yellow sponges.

Located on Negril's West End, these dramatic and soaring cliffs were used as a backdrop for the James Bond film "Thunderball."
I've enjoyed every minute staying on the cliffs and roaming around exploring. Many of the better and more interesting bars and restaurants, hangouts are located up and along there.

We spent the afternoon here on our vacation. You pay $5 US entry and you can use the beach and chairs all day. They have a bar and restaurant, and you can also pay to take a boat ride out to a private island with another bar. The beach is so quiet, water very calm and just a very relaxing place to visit. About 20 min outside Negril area . And I had the best drink I have ever had in my life there, a frozen Dirty Banana! You need to try! Highly recommend

Half Moon Bay is a hidden gem. Nestled back off of the road with its own private beach and island. Andrew and his family have carved out a paradise. It also has a great house on the property, along with a bar restaurant and cottages

Blue Hole Mineral Spring sits 24 feet below the ground in a cavernous opening completely encased by Karst limestone. The natural mineral water in the spring is 35 feet deep; However, the edges of the spring are shallow for guests to stand or sit down. Thrill seekers and staff entertain guests with dives only a daredevil can perform. Some guests jump into the spring, others choose to climb in using a safe iron ladder. Naturally occurring minerals in Blue Hole Mineral Spring are recognized for their therapeutic value. Guests often enjoy a Blue Hole Mineral massage where staff will purify, exfoliate, and soften your skin. Reviewers sure seem to be pleased with the results.
My husband and I took a day trip to visit this gorgeous blue hole in Jamaica. It was about an hour drive up into the mountain from our resort. We arrived and were greeted by the most friendly staff. They took very good care of us the entire time we were there. You have a few options for swimming, you may jump into the spring, if you’re brave enough (I highly recommend the jump, it’s truly exhilarating), or you may take the ladder down. Or if you have issues with heights they have a swimming pool that is drained and refilled daily with fresh water from the spring. There are plenty of chairs for lounging by their pool, and a bar is also on the grounds to serve up your favorite beverage. We’ve been to Jamaica several times, and of all the excursions we’ve done, this one is on the top of my favorites list. If you have a chance to visit this place don’t miss it, you won’t be disappointed.

Located near Negril, this adventure starts off in a small hut restaurant. The cost is around $20 per adult and $10 per child. If you don’t bring your own, you can rent water booties at an extra charge. There are also lockers which you can place and store valuables. We were a group of 12 and went on the adventure with 3 guides. The guides were knowledgeable and funny, and extremely friendly. From the restaurant you trek off into the jungle, over a bamboo bridge and then down to the river, a moderately shallow river bed with flowing crystal clear blue/green water. The hikes is all in the water and runs through a series of small waterfalls and plunge pools. The guides know the depth and width of the plunge pools and allow you to jump in to the ones that are safe. At one point there is a cavern with river mud and you get a chance to exfoliate and have some fun with the mud. There is also an underwater cave which you can swim through should you wish, and the guide either sends you through on your own if your comfortable with it, or will guide you through the cave with him. At the end of the river part, you circle up above the river and hike back through jungle and back to the restaurant where you can have a drink, eat lunch and then head off to your next destination or adventure. All in all a very fun way to spend a few hours exploring the interior and jungle in Jamaica.
