I think we just struck lucky. We'd been walking for 45 minutes, and as we entered Westerpark after our afternoon stroll we stumbled upon a giant - giant - food festival. It was brilliant. Dozens of stalls, great atmosphere, buy a souvenir hard plastic glass for a quid or two and refill it with beer from any one of dozens of bars. Great food - we got burgers. All in all, an excellent festival in a very attractive big park on the north western suburbs of Amsterdam.
