South Africa’s most popular tourist destination offers the urban thrills of Cape Town, its adjacent wine country and an aura of the rich political history of South Africa. The Overberg's perfect whale-watching perches provide excitement of a different nature. The Garden Route's lakes and forests and the Klein Karoo's ostrich-farming towns and vineyards present another take on the Cape. For extra kicks, try bungee jumping or cage-diving among Great Whites.

We went on a full-day tour with Ian and it was fantastic! We went zip lining in the mountains east of Cape Town, where Ian took extra pictures and videos of us, stopped at the Elgin Railway Market for lunch, went to the Cheetah Outreach center to see big cats, and ended the day at Triggerfish Brewery for a well-deserved beer. Ian was knowledgeable, punctual, and shared many funny stories. His van was spotless and clean and his driving was outstanding. We would not hesitate to book him for any of his tours - he's truly one of the best! Thanks Ian!

We spent a few days in Cape Town, however we would have missed so much if we didnt do this tour. Our guide not only took us to interesting places but he knew so much about each place and you could tell he really has a passion for Cape Town, its history and its people. Table Mountain was a big tick off the bucket list and our guide knew the perfect time for us to go in order to avoid the crazy long lines we had heard of. The best view of Cape Down is from way up in the clouds and we loved every part of the day !

For those that are not so much into wine, or perhaps want to experience something a little different from just doing a wine tour! 3 Microbreweries and one distillery in and around Stellenbosch/Franschhoek/Paarl. Lunch is possible at a few venues (for own account), and usually includes casual light fare such as pizzas, burgers, nachos etc. Distilleries are not just restricted to brandy, as there are a few gin and grappa distilleries around as well!
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, 3 craft beer tastings and 1 spirit tasting (brandy, gin or grappa) included as part of the tour, Bottled water, Light lunch (e.g. burgers, pizzas, nachos, boerewors rolls or a braai) for own account
Exclusions: Breakfast, Coffee and/or Tea, Dinner, Soda/Pop
We didn’t actually do a tour so I ticked the. ‘Other’ button. We specifically wanted to go to lunch at the De Grendel Winery but although we are not big drinkers we both wanted a drink of wine so couldn’t use our hire car to drive there. We were staying in Stellenbosch and Jake was very punctual in picking us up. He took us there and left us for our lunch. He hung around the area and was there to pick us up when we needed him. On the way back he took a different, more scenic route and told us a lot about the area on the way. It was all very efficient and friendly. If I was to return and want to do a wine tour, I would choose this company.

The western Cape wineries are a real gem in South Africa. Little did I know that the landscape in Stellenbosch is similar to parts of southern France. We had the opportunity of doing brandy tasting at Ryan's Brand were the brandy was paired with chocolates. An interesting part of the tour was a walk about in the town of stellenbosch The town looks very much touristic but I wonder and also would like to urge locals to visit this place. We also visited Franschoek with it's own Hugenouout memorial before we rounded off with Peter Falk winery. The last winery is totally amazing with an Italian touch. Hats off to Kuda our guide. So humble and attentive. This is a very relaxed tour nobody pushes you around. Worthy every penny.

This company, BornInAfrica, is amazing. I had the pleasure of dealing with their owner Dave. Dave was very quick to respond to all my queries (quite a few!) and really thought with me as to how to make the best out of my experience. I had severe time constraints but Dave managed to work around these. Even with 24 hours, Dave and his team are able to get you a wonderful game drive. The tour is great value and seems very well organised. Unfortunately due to a covid test requirement which arrived late, I never was able to fly to South Africa. Dave was very understanding and is wonderful to do business with. I am already in the process with Dave to reschedule for a date in the future. I can genuinely say BornInAfrica and Dave is an amazing team and you will not be disappointed dealing with them.
