Great experience! Found wines for all of us. We found sweet and dry wines that were very good. Also for the wine hater in the group a white wine was acceptable, but the moonshine was found to be better. Would highly recommend. Staff was very friendly.

My wife and were travelling from Pittsburgh to Raleigh, and in doing a little research, I found a place thatnot only looked interested, but fulfilled the important midpoint designation - Daniel Vineyards. Only a few miles/minutes from the highway - and down a winding road - a left turn into the driveway with a large vineyard paralleling the road. You pull up to the wine tour room - and we were immediately greeted by the hostess - who was equally kind as knowledgeable. Since I was driving, wifey had more fun - tasting a variety of reds and whites, dry to sweet - and a few dessert wines too. Okay - so I may have had a sip or two as well. Very nice stuff - complicated at times, but enjoyable through and through. While in the tasting room, you are surrounded by a beautiful facility - pavillions, gazebo, perhaps the largest deck I have ever seen - all landscaped to perfection. We ended up selecting a few souveniers of the visit - and eagerly await popping a top soon.

My reason for coming to Weston was for the Historic Insane Asylum tour, but it was closed on the one day I was in town. It turned out not to be a bad thing because I found this little hidden gem! I enjoyed some quiet time sipping wine over a fire built especially for me. I enjoyed a nice chat with the owner, who is truly an artist. This family run winery could easily complete with some of the best wineries I have visited in Europe. I plan on coming back and staying the weekend.
