With sunny skies, nearly perfect year-round weather and a range of outdoor and cultural attractions, West Palm Beach presents the ideal setting for a weekend escape. Enjoy a game of golf at a number of pristine local courses or hit the beach for a day of tanning and catching up on your reading. See African chimps and endangered species like the Southern White rhinoceros wander free in a natural habitat at the Lion Country Safari. You could spend an entire day on Peanut Island, a popular tourist attraction that houses a bunker built for President John F. Kennedy during the Cold War. The island includes the bunker, a museum and plenty of picnic areas, plus biking and walking paths. The ferry ride to the island cruises past the opulent mansions of the city's wealthy residents. For those who prefer indoor endeavors, the Norton Museum boasts an exceptional collection of American, Chinese and European art. Famous performers appear at "The Harriet" and at the Kravis Center. Of course there's always shopping, the city's other favorite pastime. From designer boutiques to big name department stores, West Palm has it all.

The tour we took here was the highlight of our trip. The animals seem well cared for and the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We were in a group of around 15 - 20 people and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially the kids. It was a rare opportunity to get a close-up look at some of the most beautiful animals in the world.

Henry Flagler's 73-room mansion which contains many of the original furnishings as well as an art collection.
My friends and I visited the gorgeous Flagler Museum and we weren't disappointed. Henry Flagler was a extremely interesting man who used his great riches to make Florida the place to visit in the early 1900's. Not only did he create train travel to Florida but he also built wonderful hotels, hospitals and churches. Certainly a man with a vision for what Florida would become.

The Society of the Four Arts is a nonprofit cultural organization founded in 1936 to meet the cultural needs of the growing resort community. The Four Arts campus is home to beautiful sculpture and botanical gardens, a library and children's library, all which are open to the public year-round. During the winter season, The Four Arts also presents notable speakers, concerts, films, educational programs, and art exhibitions to the public.
The gardens are small, but the plantings and fountains are very pretty. The Japanese garden is located in a separate area and has a beautiful door leading to it. We weren't able to see the sculpture garden because a private event was being held there. Admission was free.

Scenic hiking and biking trail.
The Lake Trail is paved and about five miles one way. The Lake is on one side and multi million dollar mansions are on the other. There were so many interesting things to see along the way. Different types of doors leading to private piers where yachts are docked, palm trees with coconuts, and beautiful flowering shrubs and plants. There are benches along the way where you can stop and take in the view. Sunscreen and water are a must since most of the trail is in the sun, and there are no restrooms. We parked for free near the Society of The Four Arts and just walked a few blocks to pick up the southern portion of the trail.

We chose the Nature Center and its trails for today's visit to this park. It is so large families would need to divide the area and do a different activity on each day. The Nature Center had small exhibits, some especially designed for children. Numerous paved trails allowed us to enjoy the quiet and peaceful pine forests. There are also more rugged trails for the adventurer. There is also a deer and wildlife enclosure on the path plus a couple of natural ponds with plenty of birds to observe. This was the itinerary for our first visit, but there are soccer fields, a dog park, baseball diamonds, picnic pavilions. miles of walking trails, a couple of lakes, playgrounds. and most likely something else fun to do. Florida is very good about including recreational opportunities in planning the growth of communities, but this park is especially outstanding. The price is right--admission is free.

The Palm Beach equivalent of Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive.
THE Most Prestigious Retail Address . . . This side of LA’s Rodeo Drive!
More Strollers than Buyers, Worth Avenue is prime people-watching territory. Never know WHO you will see parking that Ferrari or Bentley & dashing into Chanel or Jimmy Choo
It’s “Worth” the Time Investment, IMO. Eye Candy Galore. & Almost every vehicle parked on the street is “Worth” a double-take too, if you’re a Car/Motorcycle Buff like Me!
There are sidewalk benches & also seats in the Esplanade to take a break, & clean well-maintained Restrooms, of course. Enjoy!!!
You can see the iconic Clock Tower from a good distance, where Worth Avenue meets the Waterfront. Another walk opp in either direction to catch the breezes / hear the waves / watch people having Fun in the Florida Sun ☀️

If you are european its very new and nothing special but for Florida residents its an extremely old part of their history. The congregation must be one of the richest in the world and the upkeep reflects that. look out for all the vultures on the roof early evening. They also have a very nice Xmas display in the grounds.

We stopped by while on vacation. I love manatees, and we saw several and some cool fish too. It's quick and free to do. Easy parking. Super clean facility. Be sure to go inside and read all the info.
We are two adults, and we had a good time. I'm sure kids would really love it too.

The trails are not very long, but there is enough to see. Different animals, different type of plants and trees and a great view of nature! There is also a small visitor center with different temporary exhibition
