*COVID-19 UPDATE: WE HAVE REOPENED! Attention Parents: Children MUST be supervised and please follow posted guidelines to keep one another safe. Welcome back everyone! It is exceptional to find a playground in a community that is barrier-free. Built so that all children, with and without disabilities, can engage in productive play. Originally gifted to the Town of Barnstable (2010) by supporters of The Luke Vincent Powers Foundation, Luke's Love Boundless Playground was relocated steps away from our first location as part of a full renovation to the entire recreational space. The process began in September of 2017 and we reopened in April 2019. Fully restored to a new condition, Luke’s Love is an all inclusive play area built with love for children and families of all abilities ♥

In very early Colonial days, the focal point of life outside the family was the village Meetinghouse. In it civic meetings were held, issues of the day were debated and social events were celebrated. Stormy town meetings, particularly during the periods of the Revolution and the War of 1812, periodically necessitated major repairs to the Meetinghouse. Today, the Meetinghouse is the oldest standing public building on Cape Cod and one of the oldest in all New England. Touch some history. Take the self-guided tour between Memorial Day and Labor Day, 9am to 4pm.
This original meetinghouse was constructed in 1717, and is worth the time to stop and investigate. The architecture and structure are well-preserved, and amazing to see, including the exposed beams that create the interior structure of the building. It has been well maintained over there years, and was completely refurbished in the 1950's. It is perched upon a small rise, with its tall spire, making an impressive sight. Check it out, and take a few moments to learn about the history of the building and its uses over the past three centuries!

The train ride....the service....the food...the drinks.....the atmosphere....the camaraderie of other passengers....all made this an unforgettable time on Cape Cod. We were treated to a talented musician who played for us while we waited for the train to come into the "station" for us to board. The train took us all the way to Wareham and back. Two couples, and all four of us enjoyed ourselves immensely. Well worth the price of the ticket! Yes, we would do it again.

My 1st experience at Tumbleweed Quilt shop was great! Most helpful staff in finding exactly what I was looking for. There is a vast amount of fabrics, as well as other quilting needs. Fabric bolts are displayed well, allowing ease of seeing. I've been in many quilt shops, NONE of which offer a 10% discount to those 62 & older. This is a must next stop when on the Cape during the summer!
