Pop in. Why not? Experience a small slice of Americana alongside the retro (now middle-aged) head-bangers, valley girls, preps, skaters and Goths in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Psych! This short stroll through the retail space is evocative of an epoch whereby old-fashioned board games and print material objects were a thing. Gag me with a spoon! Even if you do not intend to buy something, take a chill pill and look around. No duh. Totally. The arrangement and merchandise are of interest. Good night, John-Boy.

A few months ago we ordered the Totally Ninja Racoons series written by the owner of this bookstore. In the books, he mentions several area attractions. My twin boys and I traveled from NY State to make a mini vacation all about the Totally Ninja Racoons. We visited the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, the fountain in the center of town, and Nessmunk Lake, among others. Our favorite stop was visiting the bookstore and meeting the author and his wife. They were wonderful, answered all the questions two eight year old boys could have, took photos with the boys, and even let them play with the two bookstore cats, Huck and Finn (who are also in the books). My children still talk about the visit and are planning another. Thank you Kevin and Kacey Coolidge!

Definitely worth a visit. You can simply drive in and take a short walk to a viewpoint, or hike along the Rim Trail which offers several opportunities to look down at the creek below and over to the other side.

Since 1984, Pine Creek Outfitters has been a family owned service. NOBODY has guided more trips down Pine Creek or has more experience providing equipment and services for boaters, hikers, backpackers, and bicyclists in our region. Our base on Route 6 is at the entrance to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. We have convenient on-site access to Pine Creek and are only 1 mile from the bike trail and nearby hiking trails. We provide free parking, toilet facilities, heated changing rooms, beverages, snacks, t-shirts, river gear, camping supplies, water, trash disposal & recycling. We are THE place for everything outdoors!

This is one of the most popular lakes for fishing. It is a small quiet place, so fishing and boating in non motorized boats is great.

Extraordinary chocolates by extraordinary people! Highland Chocolates is a non-profit enterprise that provides vocational training and employment for area residents with disabilities. Famous for our pretzel bark, we also offer hundreds of different molded chocolates, sweet snack mixes, fudge, and handcrafted chocolate gifts for any occasion.
I begin by saying that I am an novice chocolate maker myself. When I was home with my young son many years ago, I had a small home based business where I made various chocolate and taffy concoctions with a lot of success. I found this small store while going into the building for ice cream. This is not the factory it is a small location shared with an ice cream shop. The woman there was super kind and helpful. She was also a great saleswoman because I left buying much mire than I planned to! My husband chose the Milk Chocolate Tree Stumps which are absolutely the best combination of chocolate, pretzels, Carmel, and peanut butter. The salesperson told me it was a best seller and I was skeptical...but I will revisit on our next 200 mile journey to the area just for those. Of course you can order online but it is such a beautiful area we will be going back anyway. We did not get to take the factory tour about a mile away from the store, however, we will plan to next time. *See the picture advertisement for information! FYI if you are visiting the area...this was one of the few places that was open. Despite many places in the area saying they were open with updated websites and even after we made appointments...there were many places closed. Call first and double check again right before you head in that direction. We traveled over 200 miles to spend a relaxing weekend visiting pls es in the area and half of the places we planned to visit were closed. We were very grateful for places like Highland Chocolates for us to visit!
