Day and overnight paddling instruction and tours. Experience Lake Superior by sea kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard (SUP).
We try to book on thé 1st of July for the 2D in the morning.... Thé boss arranged a training in the morning and a rental in the afternoon. Very efficient staff, pro and safe guide, brand new équipements. But the spot is thé paradise. Thanks

Highway 17 (Trans Canada) winds right through the heart of this spectacular Provincial Park - made even more spectacular by the changing colours of Fall. Well maintained, as were all the Provincial Parks we visited, with endless options for hiking, water sports and just filling in forests. The washrooms throughout the Provincial Park system in this area were well looked after. Our favourite beach was Old Woman River Bay although there were a lot to choose from. Day rates were very affordable- even more so if you were a senior.

This store is a novelty to Wawa and even if its your 100th time in there, there is always something new and interesting to check out. They even have furs to buy!

Hard to believe that with such a rugged and rocky shoreline that's typically associated with Lake Superior, that you can find such a large sandy beach with high quality sand! You can walk for over a mile from the rocky face at the north end to the private cottage area to the south. If you can stand the cool water temperature it's even a great place for a swim!

My wife and I recently stopped at the Wawa Goose statue located at the Tourist Information Centre while making the Lake Superior Circle Tour. If taking Ontario Highway 17, you will need to get on Highway 101 (Mission Road), but the statue and information centre are prominent on the left side of the highway within a half mile of Highway 17. Besides the iconic goose, there are several interpretive displays both inside and outside telling the story of the struggle to get Highway 17 built between Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie, people who played a role in local history, and more. The information centre is also one of the stops to get the Lake Superior Circle Tour certificate and has restrooms; a stop for that purpose alone is recommended if you're taking the tour clockwise as there are few alternatives on the 141-mile (227 km) stretch between here and Sault Ste. Marie and the route is not fast with its many hills, curves, and scenic pullouts.
