I really enjoy that they get new exhibits every few months. It keeps me coming back. I’ve gone here with my boyfriend and both of our families. Well maintained and clean place to enjoy art. Could spend a short amount of time or a few hours and have a good time. Recently went to the origami exhibit, very cool!

Blades & Boards is an hatchet/ax throwing facility that has 14 lanes for throwing! We are very reasonably priced and you can bring in your food or have it delivered! You can also bring in your any and all non-alcoholic drinks. There is beer and ciders available for purchase as well. It's a great team building activity as well as a date night! Give us a call and lets throw some hatchets!!!
This was such an awesome experience! First you get a mini training session and do some practice throws while a worker critiques you amd gives you suggestions to improve. Once everyone feels they are good the clock starts and the worker leaves you to it. We had a group of 15 or so and four lanes. We had pizza delivered (they don't sell food, you are required to buy all drinks through them) and they gave us a big table to set it on. After throwing for a while they brought more axes and demonstrated how to throw two in one hand or two simultaneously. Then they brought specialty axes. It was a ton of fun amd I can't wait to do it again.

Our family has been visiting Granite Peak Skiing resort for the past 3 years now and can’t wait to go back. Just a 4 1/2 hour drive from Chicago it’s easy to to plan a last minute weekend outing. If you are looking for snow, it is the place to go all the way into April. The facility is clean with great staff and food. The rental equipment is top notch and the mountain is amazing. There are runs for all levels of skier. I would highly recommend this place for a fun family adventure.

Fantastic hiking trails with spectacular vistas and unique habitats, nature programs for the family, Summer concerts, and Winter snowshoe events. Reserveable shelters, and a beautiful outdoor event venue. Park concessions open daily during Summer season (Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day weekend), and weekends during Fall (through mid October) with gifts, snacks and more.
We drove to the top parking lot, and hiked the yellow trail and the red/quarry trail. The yellow trail is around 4.5 miles long - and has some good up and down sections. The red/quarry trail was gorgeous. It was around 2 miles, and the views and scenery were fantastic. The trails on the red/quarry trail were tougher - more strenuous, more rocks, slippery packed snow sections, and lots of leaves covering rocks and steps and holes. Be careful, step carefully, look around for the trail markers and have fun. It's beautiful. The tower was closed, but there's so much else to see.

This was a wonderful stop on our tour of Wausau. We met up with some of the staff and were able to hear about the history if the park and some plans for the future. It was just beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and cared for by the volunteers. The pond is a great setting for pictures. There is a wide variety of trees and plants. Some of the sculptures and structures are a highlight. Don't forget to stop at the treehouse!!

Placed inside a historic train depot the Timekeeper is a great place for cocktails and friends. With a menu full of unique drinks and fantastic presentation watching the bar staff make your drink is almost as much fun as drinking them. Large enough for a big gathering but small enough for a private conversation
