I'm sure this place is great for the locals, but after a beer weekend in Kalamazoo there's much better. Beer was OK. Atmosphere was OK. But nothing great to say 'gotta come back'.

The truffles are delicious and it is super close to the highway. Definitely worth a stop. If you are trying to do your part refusing plastic bags, beware that their bags look like paper but are in fact plastic, so sad. We did not realize this until we got home, else we would have said no thanks! Boxes are paper, though the holders inside are the typical molded plastic.

Liked this Casino! It is smaller than the Four Winds in New Buffalo, Michigan, but well worth driving aprox. 30 minutes from New Buffalo. Small, but quaint, VERY friendly, VERY clean casino. We loved our visit here, and walked out winners! There is no Hotel...MoreHi askmeagain, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad you enjoyed your visit and congratulations on your win. We will share your comments with our team. Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting Four Winds Casinos.

For nearly a century, West Michigan has been the home of some of the most productive and picturesque fruit farms in the Midwest. Lake Michigan's "lake effect" has sheltered the fruit of our region from the harshness of winter - blanketing the fruit vines with snow and providing slightly warmer temperatures. 12 Corners Vineyards was started by a small group of friends who grew up in Michigan and recognized the uniqueness of a site just four miles off Michigan's famed "Gold Coast." The hamlet of Twelve Corners, Michigan is our namesake. We have an 115 acre estate planted with both vinifera and hybrid grapes. The vineyards are planted on soils of varying textures and slopes, bringing a distinct and pronounced terroir to the wines we proudly serve.
The staff was very helpful in guiding us to the wines they thought we would like based on our remarks. We enjoyed all of our tastes, and bought a few bottles to take home. We loved the salted chocolate and also purchased some of that,...MoreBummer about the chocolate, that seems to happen often. ? Whenever we accommodate tastes, it makes the sale so much easier. Come back and see us or order online if you need to get your 12 Corners fix. Cheers friend!

We visited yesterday and we received the same level of service as we did when we visited for the first time 3 years ago. This is perhaps the most beautiful winery in Michigan. There was a slight problem with the credit card reader but the wine specialist was very nice and apologetic.

The family farm, JW Morlock & Girls, grows over 40 different varieties of mouth watering fruits and vegetables! JW Morlock & Girls is located in Watervliet, Michigan 2 miles North off I-94 Exit 41 on M-140.Located inside the fruit stand is Mo'e Pies, LLC. All of our pies are handmade with our homegrown fruit. Stop in and try a Papa Mo Special of Sherman's Vanilla Ice Cream and a handmade mini pie!
Clean roadside stand. Whatever the season has, they sell it. Plenty of parking, even for trailers. I like local, and shop there. Can be pricey, look at the price.

Big Dan's is a fruit orchard in southwest Michigan which allows the public to pick its own fruit - type of fruit depends on the time of the visit in the growing season. I am aware they offer berries, peaches, apples, pumpkins and squash. This is a family run farm with an extremely welcoming and friendly family. Wagons are available for customers to wheel their boxes of freshly self-picked produce up and down the thankfully flat paths between the trees and plants. If one does not wish to borrow a wagon, the family provides tractor rides right to whatever location desires in the orchard. They also have a retail area where the produce is available already picked. Beginning in mid-September through the end of the season, freshly made cider (produced on-site) is available for purchase. The location is convenient - 3 miles or so off Interstate 94 and is fairly equidistant betwixt Detroit and Chicago. We spent a very relaxing afternoon there today. We are a couple of single people, but there were plenty of children around having a good time so I would say the place welcomes families. I enjoyed myself and hope you will too.

They have a lot of walking trails, as well as some other activities to keep our little ones occupied and entertained. The playground is nice, as is the tree top walkway. Caution, bring bug spray! They do have some in the main office to borrow, but it can wear off of you are going on a longer hike. Children under 12 are free, $3 for everyone else.

The original odyssey began with a billboard for another store and ended with Vineyards being our favorite candy destination. Try the chocolate bacon. Bacon lovers will love it. The extensive Vineyard variety of chocolate treats is enticingly delicious.
The Contessa winery is next door and these two stores plus chocolate truffles from the nearby Chocolate Garden ( truffles being their specialty ) make the Vineyard trilogy a worthwhile side trip delay off the freeway.
Eat, drink and be merry. Unless you are the driver.

Language lesson: this is not a bar. This is a tavern, a place where travelers will find respite and friendliness. The owner, a long-bearded dude by the name of John Wayne, and his staff will treat you to the most openness and genuine interest you will feel as if you were at a friend's house (you are). Clean, good prices, wide selection, games, television, and the occasional live band. Whether you drive a Mercedes or a motorcycle, you will want to find time to visit again. If you mention my name when you order you are certain receive an extra ice cube in your drink (or more foam) at no charge.
