Nant Gwrtheyrn

Reviewed By AnnaH715 - Warrington, United Kingdom

What an amazing find!! Starting with the breathtaking (but scary drive down to the bottom car park) Nant Gwrtheyrn blew me away! The scenery is so beautiful; grey slate cliffs blending into a vibrant green valley which then meets a medley of blues in the sea & sky, just WOW! Due to Covid the visitor centre was closed but we enjoyed a delicious hearty lunch in the cafe followed by a much needed walk around the campus. I loved all the signage telling you all about the history of the site etc, the sculptures & houses. All the staff were delightful, helpful & encouraged me to speak Welsh!! I cannot wait to return to enjoy the scenery, cafe etc but most importantly visit the heritage centre & learn more. I would highly recommend NOT parking in the first (top) car park as the walk down is very long & steep unless of course you fancy a serious work out!!

Gurkha Path

A beautiful walk though some wooded area by the river. Go across the field next to the car park and through the kissing gate to start the walk. The bridges were built by the Gurkhas hence the name. Unfortunately we did not have time to do the entire walk but saw a good varitey of birds. Will definetly go back to do whole walk

High Street

Reviewed By 903rayh - Barry, United Kingdom

I am updating an earlier review and dedicate ties in memory of Jasmine who was a loved character and was really part of what makes High Street a friendly place to shop. Number one High Street is now "Budding Designs" a flower studio run by Nicola Hopkins who will provide you with bespoke flower arrangements. Further along you will find a cafe and boutiques and the lovely Deli where you can have your sandwich made-to-order. and of course we come to Butterflies where you can get your Yankee Candles, cards and gifts in the capable hands of Jody and Michele who will gift-wrap anything you wish! If you are looking for accommodation then there is Burnette Davies - Isobel will look after you - or - Knights - in the capable hands of Angela. For all your hardware O'Donovans has everything --in fact, if Rory hasn't got it then you don't need it!! For your fruit-and-veg Andrew, Jo and Drew will have what you need. I must mention the Pharmacy and the lovely people there. If you are having a party then visit Dr. Bob's -- ballons and decoration provided and delivered to you order by Bob, Julie and Claire. Then there is the Best-One minimarket in the hands of Tariq for groceries. Not forgetting the long-established butcher Vic Hopkins. Vic is now semi-retired and the business run by his son Anthony. All these traders - and I regret any I have missed this time -- were all loved by Jasmine and they in turn miss her. Don't go out of town -- go to High Street --it has all you need !

Milford Waterfront

Boutique shopping, delicious eats, boat trips, Milford Haven Museum, ten pin bowling, art galleries, and regular events mean there's something for everyone to enjoy at Milford Waterfront!

Reviewed By Mendip_Man_10 - Shepton Mallet, United Kingdom

We have just spent a week on holiday at Milford Waterfront in an apartment overlooking the Marina. We had a fantastic week. Waking up to the ever changing view of the boats in the marina on bright sunny days was just brilliant. The shops around the harbour are great and the various restaurants Offer excellent, quality food with equally brilliant service. We found everyone we met extremely friendly and helpful. We were staying during the 2020 Covid Virus and we felt safe in all situations, with all shops and restaurants putting in extra safeguarding.
