Just stopped by quickly on our way through with our daughter and so thrilled that we took the time to find this little studio - Helen and her partner were so welcoming, and our daughter loved hearing Helen talk to her about painting and drawing - even having a chance to get close up to one of Helen's current projects! Walked away from the studio with a lovely little print and a colouring book for Maisey to get her teeth into - will definitely be looking to buy more art soon, as standing in this studio surrounded by so much colour made us feel so happy - a must see if you're passing through :)

Thanks to the staff; great instruction, amazing surrounds (and private rally tracks) this day was absolutely great fun. Most of us were novices (they they cater for more seasoned drivers as well) and I have to say that at the start I thought "there's no way I'm going to be able to go around the track like that"! By the end of the day.. well ok... I wasn't consistent, but defintely got some good power slides around the track going. Then there was the rally driving. Then there was being driven at insane speeds... all in all loved every minute - highly recommended.

Craft Renaissance

On driving out of Abergavenny we decided to look for a garden centre or place where we could have a light lunch, theres not really much on the main A40 between Abergavenny and Ross on Wye so we headed for Usk when we came across this craft centre with a cafe inside advertising tea, coffee and light lunches. On entering a converted barn very contemporary in design with a craft centre in one side and upstairs, the cafe occupying the other half downstairs with a few tables upstairs. The greeting was very friendly and conversation made very easy, we were advised that if we wanted soup there was pea,ham and mint or potato and leek. There looked to be a quite a comprehensive menu from toasted sandwiches, fresh local made cakes. There was also a steak and ale pie, we saw one being served and looked extremely delicious, we just stuck with the soup followed by a fruit scone, strawberry jam and clotted cream. Soup was thick, fresh local bread and had a full taste of the pea and ham. The bread was warm, 2 different types were served with it, granary and seeded, with butter. After the freshly baked scone, moist very very tasty. All went down a treat and finished with a cafetière of fresh coffee. Afterwards we looked through the gallery of extraordinary animal sculptures made from chicken wire, beautiful oil painting and knickknacks from leather belts, jewellery and leather-bound note books. All in all this was a delightful experience, the husband and wife team were very chatty but without getting in your face, we will certainly go back. If you do visit, try and guess the wife’s accent!

Great day offroad with exciting up- and downhill driving. Richard is a great instructor and nice storyteller who thus share his knowledge about 4x4 driving and welsh area. It was a day course with real off-road driving (rock climbs, slide slopes, descents, mud and water) which surpass all expectations.

After following Brett and Sophie on their Youtube channel for months, loving their adventures, following their advice and tips on climbing and improving your core, and just being super impressed with their knowledge and how cool their are, I decided to take my climbing to the next level. And boy, did they deliver! In just two days of close, personal, careful and detailed instruction, I managed to do what I couldn't do at the gym. EVER. My goal was to work towards learning to trad climb, improve my confidence and technique. Over the two day course, I topped out all 8 routes Brett and Sophie carefully chose, forgot all about my shaky, Elvis leg, and gained a huge, happy smile. I cannot recommend Brett and Sophie enough. They take their time to understand what it is you need, even before the course itself. During the course, their instruction was attentive, they were always there, slowly and masterfully building your knowledge and confidence. With little, incremental steps, Brett and Sophie presented the building blocks of lead climbing. Safety was paramount, and I felt completely safe the entire time - not only during the climb but all the while being around the crag. In their calm, relaxed manner, Brett and Sophie are so lovely to spend time with, learn from and no question was too small. I was so inspired to push harder and place my trust in them... and my feet :)

He really made me see the light. This is much more than a sports massage. I was a real car crash, but I now learned from Marshal that although he is a miracle worker, the real work has to come from me. He has the perfect skill set to be my panel beater and knock me into shape. Sports massage is a great tool. Only I can fix myself. Listen to the man. He will change your life.

My 7 year old daughter had such a fabulous evening learning to throw a pot with Alex. He is such a patient and fun teacher who coped admirably with her overflowing enthusiasm. She is thrilled that she made bowls and a cup she will be able to use (once they are finished being fired). Highly recommend this experience and next time I will bring the rest of the family and definitely have a go myself.
