Wonderful experience! In town from NC, I called last minute on a Sunday and Rick greeted us with his 100+ llovable llama herd. He spent over 2 hours with my Mom and I, teaching us much about llamas and allowing us to get up close and personal with his wonderful, beautiful "llivestock". Don't underestimate a winter visit! The experience was surely one we will never forget. I can't say enough about how wonderful Rick was in coming out on a Sunday afternoon to make our trip complete. And what's worse - now I want my own llama farm! Nothing like a "llovable llama" visit! Will be back when I'm next in town and would highly recommend Carlson's Llovable Llamas to anyone in the area! (And check out the Zoar Moravian Church just nearby - an historic and beautiful 1863 Moravian Church and cemetery...)

Sovereign Estate is a family owned winery and vineyard located on the North Shore of Lake Waconia. Producing award winning European styled wines and serving bistro foods in the Tasting Room. The Willow Room hosts fine dining at the Friday Night Supper Club in the fall and winter season. Pavilion tent is available for corporate events and receptions. Concerts and live entertainment through out spring and summer season.

We went to Waconia and toured two wineries this one and Schram Vineyards. We loved Sovereign estates - it was busy with live music and had a good vibe. We did wine tasting and they also have a distillery - the view is pretty over the vineyards and nice area to stroll. The grounds were pet friendly which was nice to see people and their pups. Enjoyed the wine and the music. Tastings were inexpensive but the food was limited here. Maybe because it was a live concert so perhaps in fairness maybe food items were different today. Still a fun place to go. If this was helpful to you I would love a thumbs up. Thanks!!

We took family visiting from out of town to experience the craft beers. Some had flights, others a specific beer, but all enjoyed their choice! The weather was perfect so we sat on the patio and mingled with the other visitors. Definitely family friendly with a neighborly ambience. We'll be making this a favorite! Only potential enhancement would be to add a limited appetizer offering.

Carver Distillery, located in Waconia, MN is a grain to glass distillery that produces a broad variety of unique and exceptional spirits including bourbon, rye whiskey, apple brandy, barrel gin, vodka, gin, and liqueurs. We explore whatever unique inputs are available in Minnesota and produce products that are noticeably different and exceptional. Tours are available and provide an overview of our grain-to-glass approach and allow visitors an opportunity to see the stills, mash tun, fermentation tanks, and barrel house. A tasting of 3 spirits is included with the tour for customers 21 years of age or older. Craft cocktails are served in the expansive cocktail lounge.

We have specific dates for brewery and vineyard tours, please inquire if your date is available.
