Virginia can make American history come alive. Visit Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, tour Civil War battlefields, explore the living history museum at Williamsburg… the possibilities are endless (if the kids object, break up the historical sightseeing with a visit to Busch Gardens). Arlington, site of Arlington National Cemetery, is just across the Potomac River from all the major sites in D.C. In addition to beaches and historical attractions, Virginia has plenty to offer outdoor enthusiasts. Active families will love the Blue Ridge Highlands, where hiking, canoeing and tubing are just a few of the activities offered. Couples might enjoy a romantic mountain cabin in Virginia after a day of hiking in Shenandoah National Park.

For upscale Virginia Beach locals and visitors who crave a sophisticated place to enjoy a martini or other adult beverage in the resort area, Ultra Craft Cocktail Lounge is the only place with an extensive craft beer and cocktail selection in an intimate, exclusive adults-only environment. Unlike other bars/restaurants, Ultra Craft Cocktail Lounge specializes in martinis, smoked old fashioneds and limited food for after work or evening socializing and relaxation.

We came to Alexandria to see Raul Malo in the Music Hall area. We got to the Birchmere around 4:45 p.m. and there was already a short line for the box office which opens at 5:00. They assign you a number, which is what you use to enter the Music Hall at 6:00 to get your seating. After getting our number, we got drinks at the bar and then went into the hall at 6:00. The seating was spread out due to Covid; we shared a long table with one other couple. The service was good, but the food was outstanding! We ordered the vegetable stack (portobello, thick slabs of eggplant, roasted red pepper and couscous), pot roast (good portion with potatoes) and THE BEST (restaurant) apple pie EVER, which was served ala mode. Birchmere - don't change a thing about the apple pie! The show started at 7:30 with the warm up act, and the headliner around 8:15. It's an intimate-feeling venue, everyone was friendly and provided good service. Not to mention the show, which was excellent. We used Uber for the evening, which was quick and readily available. Altogether a wonderful experience, one of the best places to eat dinner and see a concert!

Really fun tasting room and friendly staff. Wines were delicious. Quite a few varietals you don't often find in Virginia. Will definitely visit again!

We stopped by for a pint on our way to Winchester and were really impressed! This is a small place with great decor, friendly service (thanks Greg!) and a great selection of beer! Never had white stout before and it was really good! Stop by if in the area!

An outstanding establishment that took a stand against racism and showed a community that it loves all its customers. A welcoming breath of fresh air awaits you on the lawn and cold glass of meticulously brewed beer will quench your pandemic thrist.

We loved this little brewery! Here's why: #1 - Family Friendly - Our girls played cornhole outside and the owner gave them a huge box of crayons and some coloring books. #2 - The beer was fantastic. My husband had the Double Dhoore. He said it was the best beer he's ever had. I had the Honey Mango Sour (very refreshing and delicious) and the Hefewowser (also very good if you like a good Hefe!) #3 - The staff was super friendly. The bartender was very patient and explained all the beers and gave us tastings. And the owner was extremely friendly. Don't be surprised if he sits down and has a beer with you! #4 - We loved the atmosphere. When you can look out back and see the mountains while enjoying freshly brewed beer - come on - it doesn't get any better than that. #5 - The live music was great. Cons - The food situation is a little bumpy. You can order food from the restaurant down the road but you have to call in your own order and they will deliver it to the brewery. The owner explained that there are specific laws in VA that keep him from being able to have the restaurant and brewery combined in one place. So while I blame VA for that, the process could be a bit smoother. It would be great if they eventually set up a system so that the Bartender could put in the order for you and take your payment. It would come off much more seamlessly. Also, the menu's were falling apart. Maybe a simple menu that was laminated would be easier. And the lunch menu is different from the dinner. I originally ordered something that I couldn't get because it was on the lunch menu and I didn't realize it. I think they should have a Brewery Menu. It would be a few items you can order anytime - like burgers and apps. Just a suggestion. We will be back - I think it's a must to visit if you like breweries and are in the area.

We visited as part of a wine tour on an anniversary trip and it was an excellent experience. We would highly recommend visiting for a tasting. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine. We tried both tasting options and had a hard time narrowing down which ones to buy to take home. We were especially fans of the reds.
