This bronze statue of the Virgin Mary holding child can be seen from the other side of the river Clain, near the lower end of Grand Rue by Pont Joubert and the church of Sainte Radegonde. It is over six meters high was built in 1876 on the commission of Cardinal Pie, bishop of Poitiers. Although you can't actually go up to the statue, you can get a good view over Poitiers.
