What to do and see in Vienna, Vienna Region: The Best Ghost & Vampire Tours

April 23, 2022 Lashaunda Abraham

In Vienna, the coffee house isn’t just a hangout: it’s an institution. Lingering over a newspaper with a pastry and a strong espresso drink is, according to UNESCO, officially a Viennese cultural pastime. Walk off your slice of Sachertorte with a self-guided tour of the city’s stunning traditional, Secessionist, and modern architecture, such as the Imperial Palace, the State Opera House, the Kirche am Steinhof, or the Kunsthistorisches Museum, an exercise in ornate geometry.

Many guests see St. Stephen's cathedral plus or minus passing by. Some even take their time to shoot a quick pic from the inside, but few people dedicate themselves to this architectonic jewel, which also experienced big part of the city's history. Special about this tour, is the fact, that it is never the same. This is due to being able to talk about St. Stephen's cathedral also a whole day long. Therefore also viennese people get a very unique and individual tour.

Sandra was so knowledgeable and welcoming. We really enjoyed the concepts and entertaining pictures in the presentation. I've been on the tour in Vienna before, but there was so much depth and additional information here. Sandra knows her stuff and was also really kind to give us additional time and respond to all of our questions! She really went out of her way, customizing it for us to have an architectural perspective as well as learning about Hundertwasserhaus as a person and artist. Really wonderful tour guide and very warm and hospitable with multiple perspectives, suitable for people with diverse needs. She really catered for us thoughtfully and we enjoyed our time. Thank you, Sandra - very original, informative and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

Meeting with friends of different origins and backgrounds we chose to do the tour in English. I have rarely met a guide with so deep knowledge of history and the talent to explain it so simple. The walking was so pleasant. Thank you Hernando!
