Local Theatre with entertainers showing their craft.
We heard about this from our daughter, a Theatre Major at University of Victoria and we bought tickets. They were inexpensive (only $20 per ticket) and we got there about 20 minutes early. The place was nearly sold out but the theatre is well designed and there was not a bad seat in the house. The production was outstanding. A celebration of Fado music, in the face of Portuguese history and their diaspora escaping poverty and dictatorships, it featured great writing, superb acting, lovely music (I am now a fan), and a simple set design, costumes, lighting that perfectly set the mood for the various scenes without spending a ton of money or special effects. Run, don't walk, to see this production. If you miss it in Victoria, they are having a longer run in Vancouver. loved it!

What a fun Thursday night! Rockstar Bingo is weekly music bingo show with a live band playing all the songs. Friends and I have been joining in every week to check out the the song selection and use our phones to access the app that generates a bingo card. Very cool to play this online (during Covid) as well as in-person (pre-Covid lockdown/post-Covid lockdown) at the venue! Lots of familiar tunes from the 80's and 90's which is perfect for our circle of friends! The band, SuperSauce is very talented and has a great time on stage, keeping it fun for the audience!

The 1,434-seat Royal Theatre, opened in 1913 as the Victoria Opera House, is a heritage jewel. It is the home of the Victoria Symphony, Pacific Opera Victoria, as well as a diverse selection of locally produced entertainment. The Royal is also known as Victoria's "home of the stars", offering a showcase for performances from some of the world's greatest entertainers in theatre and dance to classical music and rock 'n' roll.
Saw a few shows here, staff is great, seats comfy, good visibility and great sound. Usually free parking on street close by. Lovely decor

Built as part of the Pantages Theatre chain, this historic theatre is host to local companies including Kaleidoscope Theatre, Victoria Operatic Society, and Blue Bridge Repertory Summer Theatre in addition to presenting many professional theatre and concert performances year round. The Belfry is a converted church accommodating an audience of perhaps 350. Sieht lines and acoustics are both excellent; washroom space is adequate. The play we saw, “The Ministry of Grace,” is a world premiere, a story told by a part-indigenous playwright, Tara Beagan, based on experiences by her grandmother in the 1950s. The perspective is new and different, and although the first half needs tweaking and some of the acting needs strengthening, the play is thought-provoking and well worth seeing.
