Visiting with our daughter in Victoria we took our mountain bikes with us. She said that she had a decent route for us. The mountain bike was a good choice negotiating traffic to get to the park. It was fourth of July weekend and it was fairly busy. The roads are well maintained and easy to ride. The traffic is very controlled and the speed limit in the park keeps it safe. We made three rides to the park in three days and will always take our bikes with us in the future.

If you love architecture and Texas Historic County Courthouses, this grand dame is not to be missed. Besides the intricate architecture and the care taken to preserve the glory of this masterpiece, the square around the courthouse is well maintained and preserved.
To enter the 1892 courthouse, you have to jgo into the ugly 1967 new courthouse, but it is all good. You get your reward when you step into the old building.
We visited on a weekday and there was ample parking on side streets near the courthouse.

In the words of Lt. Joe Kenda, "Well, my my". We visited the zoo on a Friday morning morning, and were surprised to find a hand full of animals and a facility in a somewhat deplorable condition. There was an empty otter enclosure with extremely murky water and no otters! There was an overgrown red wolf enclosure, that actually contained a red wolf, however the red wolf appeared somewhat malnourished. The coyote enclose was overgrown and contained no coyote. The tiger and lion exhibit were empty and overgrown as well. The parrots and spider monkeys appeared healthy and active! The reptile area was rundown and appeared to be in a state of disrepair. The reptile area had a stronger than normal foul smell, and several unavailable exhibits. In short, I don't feel that we got a $21.00 experience. We were able to walk the zoo and see everything in approximately 15 minutes. Save your time and money!

A well maintained nice museum near the college. I was promptly greeted at the front desk and given an overview of the museum upon entering, afterwards it was self guided. The displays are well laid out including the cannons. Photography is allowed except for in one area. Overall it is a geat little museum

We spent a relaxing weekend at the park, it was nice, we went boating and pulled tubes. The park was clean and the park employees are nice. Great little getaway!We are glad you had a relaxing weekend at Coleto. Our staff strives to provide a safe, clean outdoor recreation area for all to enjoy.

Just off US Hwy 180, this is a nice out of the way spot to experience the history of the area. To see the springs, stone home, water irrigation methods and fruit trees in this desert area is phenomenal. Great easy hike around the property. Early and dusk are good times to see creatures.

I brought the kids by when it was 100 outside. The kids loved playing various learning games. The staff was great and welcomed us immediately. We look forward to returning to see the new exhibits.

I took my 7 and 10 year old children to the splash pad for a fun activity while we were staying with grandparents. It is free and the kids had so much fun with the different sprayers. It was clean and there is shaded picnic tables for adults to sit and watch. Perfect thing for a hot summer day!

If you live in Victoria and have a kayak you must go!! This trail is even worth a drive. Much nicer than I expected. This is an easy beginner's trail with lovely views around every corner. It took us 1.5 hours with light paddling. The take out area is steep. The Pump House Restaurant is at the end of the trail and makes for a nice lunch if you are not too hot and sweaty after the ride. There is no shuttle, so you will need two vehicles. Very nice way to spend a couple hours.
