I took some children and grandchildren riding here this summer. The horses are very well cared for and in great shape. The family run organization is as fun as it gets. Down home country people giving good value. We went on the 2 hour tour and it was plenty. Great trail leading up to the beautiful overlook of the valley and the Tetons. We climbed steep hills, crossed streams, took narrow and wide trails. even with younger children. Well trained staff were entertaining and really looked after us. The horses were not typical rental horses with no energy, they had some gitty up in them, yet never overdone. It was memorable and still brings smiles to the kids when we talk about it. There is an age limit for the very small children. We loved getting away from the Jackson crowds and this was the way.

We get it. We know how you feel. You crave a life altering, completely over the top experience of beautiful scenery filled with tons of wild trout. Well guess what? You are in luck. You are smack dab in the middle of a fly fishing wonderland. How about wetting your line in an ancient volcano that just so happens to be old Yellowstone? At six thousand feet above sea-level, the Henry's Fork flows out of a spring created by volcanic activity more than a millennia ago. The South Fork of the Snake is insanely gorgeous with enough trout to fill any fly fisherman's net. The Teton has so many different types of water. If you wanted you could only fish the Teton on your stay with us. You wouldn't see the same kind of water each day, whether it was the flat spring creek water right in our backyard, or the winding stretches below the lodge or the deep canyon of the narrows. During your stay at the Lodge, you can expect to fly fish on a different stretch of river every day. With over 25 different sections of fishable river on three blue ribbon fisheries in Idaho, there are years of discovery awaiting even the most experienced fly fishermen.
A buddy and I stayed at TVL for four night in early June. We really enjoyed ourselves. Staff went out their way to make us feel at home. Food was very good and the guides were professional, knowledgeable and fun to be with. The other...MoreThanks for visiting us TerryM. We actually ended up here because of the food truck (Taste Buds) parked in the parking lot, but boy am I glad we went! It's a bit outside of town but in a beautiful location. We ordered drinks from inside and drank them in beach chairs outside. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and the beer was great! I also bought a (very reasonably priced) shirt and sticker there. They've been around since 1988 but still have that home-grown feel. Great experience!

Had a wonderful time on an instructional flight with Matt. Really know the local area. A true professional. The dispatch staff was also top notch. As a visiting pilot from Georgia, they guided the way from prompt emails to pleasant service when I arrived. They even upped the game with museum tours and local sites to see once I left the airport. If you are not a pilot, take one of their scenic tours, It's a breathtaking view of Teton National Park.

enjoyed our stay in mid June. We would of liked to have booked the one cabin, but since it was taken we booked 3 nights in their tent - glamping because it had electricity and a real bed. Clean bathroom and showers nearby. Wonderful to hear the rain and the birds chirping, which wouldn't be the same in the cabin or a hotel room. Breakfast *(included) was ok. Fresh fruit, but nothing homemade. A young man who trains horses took the two of us for a 2 hour horseback ride.

The pass is a few miles out of town. The drive up is pretty with curves and a steep grade. There is not a sign at the pass, so it's easy to miss. The views are great from the pass. There are hiking trails from here too.

Located in the heart of Teton Valley, in the majestic Yellowstone/Teton area and wrapped on it's southern border by the Caribou-Targhee national Forest, Headwaters Golf Club is quickly becoming the mountain course of choice visiting the region. A unique triumvirate of talent, golf legend Byron Nelson, Open Champion Steve Jones and architect GAry Stephenson masterfully crafted both the 18-hole and 9-hole courses. This unique group understood Mr. Nelson's design philosophy; a shot well struck by any golfer should be rewarded.
I just played in a two day family and friends tournament here. So course and surroundings are stunning! What a beautiful setting for a golf course. The course is a good test, especially from the black tees. I would recommend playing blues for 5-12 handicaps and whites for anything above that. Makes it much more enjoyable. So many "postcard" holes. I hope to play here again.

Teton Rock Gym provides an opportunity for people of all ages and ability levels to to experience the fun of climbing. As the only gym of its kind in the Tetons , Teton Rock Gym offers bouldering, top rope and lead climbing in addition to rental equipment, climbing teams, instruction and even climbing competitions.
We visited during a weekday as we were told it would be less crowded. The staff to visitor ratio can be improved as we had to wait a while to get our equipment and lesson, hence the 4 stars. One employee was trying to assist everyone. Once we got started it was a great time! We were able to stay as long as we wanted, within business hours of course. Definitely worth the $ we spent.

The spud is a theater out of the past. Although a bit worn, and not surprisingly so, we had a great time. We ordered our dinner from the snack bar: burgers, corndogs and fries. All were perfect and not expensive. The sound came through the portable radio that we rented just fine and the picture on the screen was perfectly clear and huge reminding me why movies were called the "big screen" years ago.
