Although the mist was down for most of the trip from Tórshavn we were lucky that the weather improved and had beautiful views of the cliffs and some birds, Fulmar, Puffins in particular. Trip about 2 hours by boat and much enjoyed and don’t forget your binoculars.

While visiting the Vestmanna Bird Cliffs I chanced upon it and was surprised to discover a delicious hot fish soup made with salmon, cod, lobster and shrimp in a lobster broth by two amazing female chefs. The soup sells for 100 DKK per person I think. They also have an eat-all-you-want buffet for 150 DKK (I think!). The place is clean with spacious and clean bathrooms. They serve good coffee too and lovely Faroese local handicrafts.
