My husband suggested a visit here and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about it, I’m not really a zoo person. That said I was really pleasantly surprised, there’s a huge range of animals and the focus is very much on conservation and education. I loved the fact that visitors are encouraged to interact with the animals, from goats to alpacas, donkeys and wallabies there are lots of open areas where you can wander amongst the animals. Really well laid out with lots of interesting things to see and do especially for kids. A real must visit

Gorgoeus beach. The tide was going out when we arrived but it left loads of large pools full of fish and hermit crabs that were great for swimming in and exploring. You could also find less rocky areas where you could go and paddle in the sea and jump the waves. It was very busy but there's loads and loads of parking and it's an enormous beach so accommodates everyone. Get there early if you dont want to walk for a while to get to the beach. There are toilets, surf schools and SUP hire plus a couple of cafes. A great day out!
