Vellore is part of Tondaimandalam (Tondai Nadu), a city and the administrative headquarters of Vellore District in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Located on the banks of the Palar River in the north-eastern part of Tamil Nadu, the city has been ruled, at different times, by the Pallavas, Medieval Cholas, Later Cholas, Vijayanagar Empire, Rashtrakutas, Carnatic kingdom, and the British. Vellore has four zones (totally 60 wards) which cover an area of 87.915 km and has a population of 423,425 based on the 2001 census. It is located about 135 kilometres (84 mi) west of Chennai and about 210 kilometres (130 mi) east of Bengaluru. Vellore is about (100) Km South West of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. This is located on the National Highway about 12 Kms from Vellore when you travel towards chennai. The temple is on top of a hillock (about 150 -200 steps). You can spend about 1 or 2 hours and complete the Darshan.

Sri Lakshmi Narayani Devi temple in Sripuram, Vellore, Tamil Nadu is a very beautiful temple which is at about three and half hours driving distance from Chennai It is fully made of gold.The temple is built in a such a vast area and a very peaceful location. The whole area is so beautifully done and very well maintained.It is run by Sri Sakthi Narayani siddhaar peetam trust Sri Sakthi Narayani siddhar guru. We will need about 1&1/2 to 2 hours to complete the full round in the temple complex from entrance to exit gate.Volunteers are very polite and helpful.Moble phones are not allowed.There is ample parking space at entrance gate. Never miss to visit this temple atleast once.

Om Sai Ram A must visit temple. Well maintained. May not be crowded and can very easily focus on peace. Vehicle parking is very easy A standard restaurant too is available adjoining Don't miss it Om Sai Ram

The gate is a huge building and there is way on the sides,on climbing there is a room on the top of the ground floor,seen behind that there is ruins which is understood on seeing the place.On entry there is a room on the both the sides.
