Open on Saturdays from 2pm to 5pm. (3pm to 6pm on july and august) Real symbol of Velaux, the tower overhanging the village is the only vestige of a former medieval castle. After an important restoration, this building 15m high is a museum today exposing the archaeological collections of the Gallic city of Roquepertuse. From the terraces of the 2nd floor, a panoramic view is offered to visitors.

Roquepertuse is a classified conservation area. You will discover the foundations from the IIIrd century BC and can observe the rocky and notches of houses. The Moulin Seigneurial is a former oil mill dating from the XVIth century. The ground floor is dedicated to a temporary exhibition every year, having for theme the history of Velaux. On the first floor, the exhibition « dinosaurs in Provence », dedicated to the paleontology makes the visitors travel 65 million years BC. Eggs and fossils discovered on the site of the Bastide Neuve are exposed.
