The boardwalk at Smögen is in the summertime one of Sweden´s most popular tourist destinations. It is located along the south side of Smögen´s old fishing port. The wooden boardwalk which is about 1000 metres long starts at the fishmarket in the eastern part of the harbour. It has a huge variety of shops, cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating. At the end of the boardwalk lies Vallevik.

The moat caponniere has an interesting exhibit with authentic settings from the 1860s. See the commander's home, with a cannon in the parlour, the secret restaurant and the vault of the National Bank, filled with hundreds of gold bars. You can also have a closer look at the commander's office, Bulta-Majas restaurant, and part of the armour. The adventure tour at the Karlsborg Fortress lasts about one hour and 45 minutes. Bohus fortress is an unprecedented Nordic heritage.
