The southern entrance is without a doubt the most used. From here it is close to Skuleskogen's biggest attraction, Slåttdalsskrevan.Once at the crevice, you can take a coffee break or a dip by the idyllic Tärnättvattnen or hike up to Slåttdalsberget for one of the High Coast's most beautiful views.

Västernorrland's County Museum preserves, develops and makes available the county's cultural heritage and cultural environments and, with our open-air museums and main building, is an important destination in the county. The museum owns large collections of objects and archives and conducts active digitization work. Archeology, conservation and urban development work are central parts of the museum's outward cultural heritage work.

This fortress is a well preserved military installation that was built by the Swedes during the Cold War era and only closed in the early 1990s. Above ground, there are lots of pieces of military weaponry - guns, tanks, etc, as well as a restaurant that is open at lunchtime. Below ground, a guided tour takes you through what could be a functioning city today, complete with a small hospital, shop, sleeping quarters, office areas, dining room and intelligence offices. It's a really cool place to visit and reminds us about the seriousness of the Cold War era and what it meant for Sweden. It's a bit out of the way, being in northern Sweden, but if you happen to be around the Härnsand area, worth a visit.

Welcome to North Mountain, a green oasis in Sundsvall and one of the region's most visited destinations. The combination of nature, culture, history, cafés, shops, playgrounds, barbecue areas and events attracts young and old, all year round. There is something for all ages and tastes.
Nice place for a walk, where you also can learn about history, see some animals (pigs, hens, sheeps) or just follow one of the paths in the forest (not for trolleys!) Wonderful view from the observation tower over Sundsvall city and the bay. There are places for a picknick (benches in the forest and grass for a picknick filt) and playground for kids.

Aaaaamazing trail, beautiful nature and a great view on top the mountains. It was an adventure to climp and walk to the top and I'm happy that we did it. We would recommend it to our friends if they are visiting Sweden. It is truly worth the effort.

Well! What a beautiful spot this is for hiking. Lakes, crevices, bathing spots, amazing views and well organised spots for lighting fires and shacks for overnighting. I can understand why it is so popular. We entered at the north entrance and hiked to the Tärnättholmarna the up to Tärnättsvatten and the high coast trail back to the northern entry. We took it easy and this hike is about 3-4 hours walking but stopping and so it took approximately 6 hours.

Well worth the visit! One can wonder and spend hours keeping warm and relaxing while reading in a beautiful setting, playing board games, looking at the art display and learning about the history of Sundsvall, animals and life in the past in the museum.
