You’ll find plenty of orange trees here, but the fruit known as the "Valencia orange" was actually developed in California. Travelers interested in local food should focus on paella instead. While the city contains many monuments, Valencia’s modern crown jewel is the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic complex of museums, cinemas, theaters, and more.

We tried central market and the Rafaza market but this beat them all! Really great atmosphere - tons of chat, great stalls, a wonderful food stall for tapas and beer, gals selling eco stuff, fish vegetables and fruit. I'd say this was the best. The Cabanyal area is a great place to discover with interesting architecture. We went on a Thursday and discovered a huge section selling Spanish flamenco dresses! Yes I bought one! Not sure if this is every week or now and again and I don't know where you would find out. Best go and find your own experience! BRILLIANT!

10 restaurants 6 cafe bars 1 lounge bar Flower Shop Gourmet Market
We visited this market every day of our visit to Valencia for tapas, coffee, snacks or just people watching. We found it so lovely & relaxing to just spend an hour or two sitting at a table at one of the many cafes & restaurants. It was one of our favorite things in Valencia
